I recently stayed in Hotel Killarney and have to say, I was firstly met with a welcome to rival any Irish Welcome, pleasant jovial and efficient. My room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to drag myself out to explore what Killarney had to offer. Although the hotel was very busy during my visit, breakfast... More

Pros Our bedroom was spacious comfortable recently renovated I guess and warm, always plenty of hot water, pool, pool staff, hotel convenient sort of, plenty of parking. Breakfast was pretty good and for someone who doesn't eat meat there were mushrooms, nice scrambled eggs, tomatoes, very nice baked beans and quality brown bread. Cons Slow at reception, restaurant and bar... More

On arrival I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and even more let down by the abruptness of the girl who checked us in. She was so rude. When I asked questions about things that she should have told us when checking in she would hardly give an answer or if she did it would be a one word... More

Found this hotel to be a fantastic base for the family. Staff are friendly and even when the weather is bad there is loads to do in the hotel. Food is excellent also. Friendly fellows are brilliant with the kids.

What it lacked in quality it made up for in quantity. We had 2 twin beds & one double, all uncomfortable. It was like a musty, outdated dorm room. Soiled drapes and carpet crammed with uncomfortable beds.
