Im only getting around to writing this review now after returning from work related travel but we had such a great time at The Malton between August 8th and 11th it would be remiss of me not to share our experience. We are regular visitors to Killarney as we only live less that 90mins from Killarney and with 3 children... More

We hopped on the train from Dublin to Killarney and The Malton is only a few steps from the station which was great. We checked in to the hotel and arrived up to our huge room with a massive bathroom, dressing room, lovely big bed and a couch. We paid a visit to the Wine Rooms and sampled some wine... More

Dear Guest. Thank you for your comments & yes it is great to be able to get a train right to the door eh...all part of The Malton service !! The week you were here unfortunately we were upgrading/re-decorating our leisure centre & apologies for this inconvenience. This work was completed shortly afterwards, all in time for our busy summer... More

The hotel on the outside appears gorgeous. Inside is a different story. Filthy mold and mildew in the bathrooms, peeling paint on the ceilings. No air conditioning, which is fine, but the windows opened only about 6". The bed pillows were as flat and hard as cardboard. I asked the front desk if they provided any other option for pillows,... Stayed here for 2nights mid week. We got upgraded to a junior suite which was a great suprise. The room was big and spacious. Hotel is in a perfect location, 2 minute walk from pubs restaurants and shops. The only thing that annoyed me was having to pay for parking. Will definitely be back

Dear Elaine, Thank you for your review & it was our pleasure to upgrade you & glad you enjoyed your 'perfect stay'. Unfortunately due to our town centre location our car park was often over crowded with non residents & it became a necessity to outsource the managment of this to an external company. We negotiated a nominal charge of... More

The Malton hotel upon walking in is absolutely gorgeous, the lobby is very modern and nice but as you make your way to your room, you will notice the history of the hotel. It was built years ago and I like the character but I feel the rooms could be updated a bit. The ceiling in the room where dinner... More

Stayed in the self catering apartments for a week and one night in the hotel. Apartment was brilliant, spotlessly clean and very well presented would definitely recommend. Hotel room was just as good. Only downside was the food, both in the bar and restaurant, not a great choice and very poor selection for children. Staff were absolutely brilliant from start... More

my mother -in-law and I booked a room for two days in this quaint hotel and I have to say we had a most enjoyable couple of days. We spent two nights at this hotel and had a very good experience. The suite was roomy with very nice decor and gorgeous views of the grounds. It was comfortable and clean. What a gem, in the jewel town get is Killarney. Just returned from a two night stay. Wonderful hotel, splendid Victorian era or earlier decor that creates a splendid ambience of relaxation and happiness.
