Stayed here for a nite en route to Dublin. Great hotel. Center of everything and walking distance to everything. Rooms were clean, good size, and free wifi. Would have liked to stay longer. Highly recommended

The hotel itself has a well appointed lobby with a comfortable feel. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. We booked a suite for a little extra comfortable but weren't terribly impressed. The positives are it was spacious and clean. The negatives were small things like cheap bathrobes, no place to hang a towel or bathrobe while your showering, the... More

The Malton is an old world style hotel with many public rooms and an attentive staff. If you want to feel like you've stepped back into Victorian times, this is the place for you. The Dining Room offers fantastic food, both for the buffet breakfast and the sumptuous dinner. My single room came with a king bed with plenty of... More

The Malton is an excellent hotel with great character. We stayed with our two year old son for two nights. They have a playground there, a supervised play room and a swimming pool. The room was clean and spacious. We had dinner in the bar, which was excellent. What I really like about the Malton is the actually serve breakfast... More

I brought a group to this hotel from Donegal. Highland radio trip. We stayed for 3 days and everything about the hotel was excellent. Staff, service, rooms, food, cleanliness. Helpful and welcoming staff. To class a rating from 1 to 10. Definitely 10.

The Malton is an exceptional hotel from the rooms to the staff. Everyone is friendly and always ready to assist in every way. The restaurant is fantastic, the food incredible and the wait staff friendly. The Bar/Cocktail Lounge is pure joy for a Pint or Cocktail in the afternoon/evening and the live small band is very nice as well. All... More

Dear Charles, Sincere thank you for review. I always love to hear when guests appreciate the long history this Victorian hotel has. The hotel is 160 years old, was orginally opened in 1854 as The Railway Hotel, became The Great Southern Hotel Killarney in the early 1900's & The Malton in 2007 (after an 18th century Irish artist of which... We booked early and got a good deal. The food was very good and the staff helpful and friendly. I liked the way The Malton catered for all age groups without intruding on each other. An indoor pool is always an attraction for me, so the pool enhanced our stay.
