This was a great place to be with kids that love animals. My 11 year old granddaughter couldn't wait to get up in the morning to see what critters might be outside our window, or the front door. They has baby lambs, dogs, horses, it was just delightfull. Breakfast way yummy & the views overlooking the horses in the pastures... more

I've noticed the few negative reviews here and while I'm not sure exactly what transpired, it almost seems like these people had an experience w/ a totally different place! The setting was amazing, the food delicious, the location perfect for being close to the National Park and just a wee bit out of town. We definitely enjoyed visiting the horses... more

I was part of a group that arranged a booking for this B&B for a weekend at the of August and we were all totally disgusted with the treatment we recevied by the person who runs this guesthouse. Naturally when making a group booking (especially since our booking was for a wedding party) the numbers can change depending on who... more

We have stayed at this inn three times in the past twenty years. They have been consistently exceptional every time. We are planning another stay next year. You will not find a more welcoming host in Maureen O'Donovan, the rooms are well kept and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. The last time we stayed with her we had to... more

My husband and I enjoyed our 2-day stay with Maureen O'Donavan at the Muckross Riding Stables B&B during an 8 day trip through Ireland. At first we thought it would be to far from town, but soon we realized it was perfect. After touring the area (Dingle one day, then Gap of Dunloe and Muckross house/abbey and Torc waterfalls the... more

My husband and I booked a room at Muckross Stables for a couple of nights while we were on our honeymoon on July. We chose this B&B because of the stables and the great reviews it had received. I've always dreamed of horseback riding in Ireland so we found this to be the perfect opportunity. After spending a couple days... more

We stayed two nights at Muckross Stables in July 2008. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. The location is fantastic - a couple of miles outside of Killarney so close enough to visit for the evening but out of the way of the noise and traffic. If Killarney races are on, it's a great night... more

My boyfriend and I stayed here on June 1st, 2008 for one night. I booked in advance online to make sure we had a room. Maureen got back to us very promptly with every email and answered all my questions. When we arrived we were so happy to see all the good reviews were true! Maureen, our hostess, was warm... more

Though we had stayed at many lovely B&Bs on our first trip to Ireland in ‘05, the only place we chose to stay at again on our second trip, was Muckross Riding Stables B&B. The beauty and tranquility of the farm was a wonderful respite from our crazy American life. The warm, friendly and open O’Donovan’s made us feel like... more
