We travelled to Killarney for a hill-walking weekend and booked our beds in Aurora based on what we'd read on the web. We were totally blown away by both our hosts Liam and Mary and by the excellent standard of accommodation they provided. We had reservations to stay 8/22.We were unable to find Aurora House due to lack of signage. When we expressed our frustration we were not allowed to stay because the "mood was wrong" The owner said she didn"t want riff-raff off the street. It is not Board of Tourism approved. They are using the internet to skim the elite tourists... more

No matter how difficult it was for them it didn't warrant their behaviour. The woman was shouting at me and appeared to be...

We spent 2 nights at the Aurora B+B recently and I cannot recommend it enough. The house is spotless and excellently presented, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the hosts, Mary and Liam, very friendly. A large group of friends (4 couples) have just returned from 2 nights at the Aurora B&B and found it to be an ideal place to stay in every respect. We stayed there for 4 nights and absolutely loved it. The B&B is very new and spotless. The interior is modern and the owners put some thoughts in how to arrange everything most practically. Brand new house, just opened in 2005. Spotless on the inside and outside. Very well kept. It looks like it has been decorated completely from Ikea though. This was a real treat for us. We had been traveling in Ireland for longer than a week when we came to this destination that we booked through a B&B connection site on the Web.
