Hostel in good location, with comfy beds. However, the night we were there (off season) the hostel was full of local deros who had had too much drink and drugs and were having screaming matches in their rooms, the halls and all around the hostel. This is the only hostel we have felt unsafe in during 8 months of travelling,... more

The Railway Hostel is located just down the street from a grocery store and across from the Bus and Train Stations, making it super-convenient. The rooms were excellent with the basic furnishings and free, fast wifi access. Brilliant! The large kitchen included approximately 9 gas burners, two dish sinks, a fridge, and one microwave. It was well-used by hostel guests... more

We had a wonderful stay at the Railway Hostel in Killarney. The staff is very helpful & friendly, the rooms and common areas were very clean and they have a huge kitchen with all of the cookware you could possibly need. The diningroom is huge as well so you can sit by yourself or mingle with other guests if you... more

Our first experience as a family in a hostel and I would recommend a stay here. It was one of the few places we could have one room for our family of four in the area with our own bathroom. Clean and very well located, just a few steps across from the train and bus station and up a small... more

I only spent one night, and the place was alright. The guy who was working reception was less than friendly. He had earphones in and never took them out when I was checking in which I found slight;y rude. The hostel itself is in a great location right by the bus station. The dorm room was big and generally clean,... more

My first impression was to actually find the place as i was driving around and killarney didnt have too many signs for the railway station etc, but eventually found the place. The guy on reception wasnt the most friendly person though, it was empty when i went in and he was just on his own there, i had booked ahead... more

The first thing you notice in this hostel is the fact that all the rooms have a name. The name of an animal. The hostel is really nice, it remembered me a cottage 'cause there's wood everywhwere. The room was really nice and clean and you can have a free breakfast in the common kitchen. It's just five minuts walks... more

The hostel wasn't that hard to locate as their is a sign post saying hostel and an arrow off the main street. The hostel is located off the main street on a quite side street. Good location in centre of town and quite street with some car parking space. The hostel was full of people mostly hormone saturated twenty somethings/teenagers... more
