Absolute jewel, but you have to book room in the new part of hostel, old part is not that impressive, very clean, ensuite rooms for as little as 19 euros per night, free parking, in the center of killarney

We stayed in two separate rooms at Neptune's and enjoyed both. The only reason we switched rooms was because we decided to stay a second night and the original one was reserved. My son described the en suite rooms as "regular hotel rooms without a t.v." and I think that's appropriate. The beds were fine. Perhaps the mattresses were thinner... More

Stayed here as part of a tour. Very central!!! Rooms were clean and warm. Bathroom was a little small, but adequate. The staff were very nice and accommodating. My brother is very tall and found he couldn't fit and therefore fall asleep in the bunks, so he went and slept on the couch in the lobby. The staff were so... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in October. This is a hostel. Lots of shared rooms, lot of young folk swapping travellers' stories and common areas for eating, cooking and chilling out. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They help to arrange activities, send you to good people to rent bikes, they have maps and take time to explain... More

Filthy kitchen, can't believe passes health inspection. Room could have been whole lot better. En suite shower disgustingly overflowing & clearly not just the night I stayed, when I informed receptionist he was clearly not surprised. Don't stay at this hostel until it has complete overhaul

In short, very nice stay, maybe one of the best. Very safe, friendly, budget. Breakfast could be better, but it is ok, basic is there. Kitchen is maybe not new but it is very big. If i ever come back, i know where to stay.

Friendly, clean, town-centre hostel with a simple breakfast included in the price. If you are looking for somewhere welcoming and cheap, but are not expecting any frills - then this is it. We stayed at the end of November, room was a bit chilly, the bed a bit creaky, but the shower was hot and didn't run out of water.... More

Booked in 06/07/2014. Had my own room on second floor at back. My room window was easily assessable from the flat roof of adjacent building and this is how the robber got into my room. All my valuables were stolen, passport, ipad, travellers cheques, etc etc. The reception staff were very helpful in reporting to police etc. The police arrived... More

Has breakfast of cereal and tea. Bike storage is available in a garbage room. Nice central location but off the main streets so nice and quiet. Strangely, our room had no window except a skylight. It was clean and tidy. We stayed in a room with one double bed so we had the whole room to ourselves. It was quiet... More

I stayed at Neptune's for two nights. My room was not in the main building, but very close just across the drive in. I guess they have just opened that part of the hostel as it seemed very new. My room was a en-suite dorm with 6 beds. The furnitures are simple but very useful. The room looks very trendy,... More
