Just back from a one night stay in the Glena House.. Having read the tripadvisor reviews only the few days before I wondered what in the Hell I was getting myself in for. Im beginning to wonder if people truly write the truth..... I stayed by myself a female and I found the accommodation to be totally safe and clean.... More

Stayed with my daughter and 50 others for two nights as part of an educational tour. Cultural expectations vary greatly, but our group valued Wifi as well as clean and spacious rooms as important. We had significant wifi issues - very intermittent. The rooms were a tight squeeze for numerous students and while clean, the accommodations are "tired". The toilets... More

A group of us travelled to Killarney from England and Wales to take part in the 100+ mile charity bike ride "The Ring of Kerry". The hotel was fully booked with cyclists and their (expensive) bicycles. After the cycling event I visited Reception with my Samsung Tablet in order to use the free wi-fi, by inputting the code. The helpful... More

My daughter and I stayed here as part of an educational tour. I wasn't very impressed with the property. The view out of our bedroom window was ugly unkempt grounds (and Ireland is so beautiful everywhere else!). The wifi was terrible, you could only get decent wifi if you sat down by the reception area or near the staircase. How... More

Lets put it this way, words cannot describe how many issues their are with this place. My favorite is this" The door handle/lock/key holder to my room was coming loose, walked to front desk, told them, a staff member who spoke broken English (my guess she was Eastern European) came back to room. She looked at the door, tried to... More

I styed here and it was excellent all round experience I have leatned that Glena House is subject to biased nasty review from a certain disgruntled guest who specializes in staying in properties then demanding money back at the behest of posting bad reviews on tripadvisor. Sad but very True. :-(

Stayed here with a group two days ago and was concerned about negative reviews. Apparently the owners were too, and have been working hard to make upgrades. The room we stayed in was a little worn, but it was warm and cozy. Shower/bathroom was just fine and you can walk to town. Our dinner both nights was delicious and hot.

We came here with a group and were concerned with the prior reviews. They were completely off base. The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean. We had a great Irish stew one night and a roast chicken the second. It is a short walk to town.

I Stayed here with my young son and daughter in march 2014, I found the staff to be the kindest I have every come across, as you can imagine traveling on my own with 2 young children can be difficult at the bed of times, the room was spotless and the breakfast was really lovely great selection. would definitely return
