Myself & 10 friends stayed here for our Christmas party, roughly costing €1320 for a two night stay. Firstly, the rooms were very basic. The bathroom badly needed to be updated. The bedroom was clean, but the lighting was shocking!! The security staff were very unprofessional, verbally abusive, & overly dramatic. Security were on a power trip! Very disorganised in... More

A huge wedding party so we booked into the apartments. I was on the top floor at the front. Overwhelmed. Two large bedrooms. Bathroom and ensuite. A fantastic kitchen with open plan lounge/dining. Laundry. Completely fully equipped. The tariff was excellent value. We stayed three nights. Would do it again.

This review is for the restaurant inside the Gleneagle hotel.. Not the hotel itself.. My husband and I were in Killarney for five days. We were staying in the next door hotel and someone told us that there was an Irish music/dancing competition in Gleneagle and we should check it out.. We went there on a Friday Halloween night and... Have attended many Irish dance competitions at the INEC but this is first I have stayed at the Gleneagle. When first checking I was delighted that our room had a balcony and looked out over the gardens towards the Killarney Lakes area. My complaints have more to do with the events going on than with the hotel itself. Aside from... More

We had a small conference here and i have to say it was well orgnaised. Everything was set up as requested, the projector worked straight away as did Wifi. Nothing was too much trouble for the guy who did the set up (Malaysian i think(. We thought more people might be coming so he organised extra chairs and tea and... More

Firstly, the Gleneagle never promises to be a 5-star experience. It is a 3-star hotel which exceeds 3-star service. The lobby is the nicest part of the hotel, while the rooms are only average. That being said, there was a nice view from the 5th floor bedroom. Staff were friendly throughout our stay, and even the reception staff were very... More

The Gleneagle is really an average 3* at a stretch. The staff are nice and friendly but the hotel itself is just too shabby and old to be good. I asked for an iron and ironing board to be sent up and was told there is an "ironing cupboard" on each floor. This is a press in the corridor where... More

Our meal in the flesk restaurant was awful!!! It was cold and not good quality , thick beef gravy all over the lamb and a roast veg. Dish without the roast veg. Very poor. The best bit was the friendly staff. Very disappointed

We came down to the Gleneagle for one night for a concert in the INEC. All the staff were lovely, but unfortunately the bedroom was dated decor wise, the TV was a box tv with bad reception and shaking screen. The double bed we paid for was actually just two single beds pushed together which made for a very uncomfortable... More
