Murphy's is a nice little guesthouse in a great location in Killarney town, within walking distance of the main streets within the town. I have stayed in the guesthouse on more than one occasion and have always been happy with the service and facilities. The only downside is the noise from the street which can be very loud at night.... More

Murphy's is in a great location if you want to enjoy the pubs of Killarney. The rooms are basic and clean, and prices are very reasonable. Breakfast was pretty good, but is served in the pub - we got to hear all the explicit details of the nearby (still) drunk college kids late night exploits!

I am trying to be nicer writing these so here goes...... The wifi was non existant. Could be an external issue but if you need or use wifi, it doesn't work! I was in a room that had some sort of a vent outside that sounded like a loud washing machine. It stopped from about two until seven. Breakfast is... More

Spent 1 night here on way through Southern Ireland, great staff and room was comfortable. Good breakfast as part of the room rate. Shower didn't work as well as I expected but the front desk said they would sort that out. Very central and close to everything, so good location. Went for a short run in the morning through the... This place has it all. Nice rooms, traditional music every night, Guinness and a great breakfast. And Maureen at the front desk is the best. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

We traveled around the whole of Ireland over two weeks and Murphys has it all. The room was €50 for the two adults 2 children fab and clean - we thought we were in a 5 star hotel once inside. Dinner was excellent and afterwards we joined the singing with a live traditional musician group then at 1am we just... More

We arrived at Murphy's late afternoon. Our room, while not very big was spotless. The bathroom was spotless. Unfortunate we couldn't get into pub as it was too busy. Didn't get to see the entertainment. It was a nice option for accommodation while traveling Ireland.

I have stayed in Killarney a couple of times, and there are a lot of well located hotels. Murphy's Guesthouse is my favorite place to stay. I can't imagine beating the price, location and especially authenticity, above and including Murphy's Bar. If you want a local feel with modern amenities, you will enjoy it here also. We were a few... More

Spent two nights in this centrally located B&B. Third floor room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was typical and cooked to order. Check in is smooth; check out as well. Parking is available and close (either on the street or in the nearby car parks). The downstairs pub offered live Irish music each night. Rate was reasonable for the area.... More
