Booked a family room for two nights. It was very clean, beds were comfortable. The location was perfect - easy walk to the center of town. Maureen and Dermod were wonderful hosts, providing lots of information about the area, where to go for dinner, and fun things to do. Breakfast was terrific and the dining staff was friendly!

Family run hotel on the road for doing the “Ring of Kerry” Staff were very helpful, breakfast was included and superb. Homely quaint and adorable hotel, I will certainly be back the next time I visit Ireland.

Booked a family room here for two nights and we really enjoyed it, the room was nice especially the en-suite! Staff were welcoming and helpful with tips on where to go for food, swimming etc. Breakfast also nice and theres a lovely water feature in the centre of the room! Only a few minutes walk/drive from Killarney town centre. It... More

What a wonderful place. A large inn but run by the O'Donoghue family so it does not feel impersonal. The place is clean, big, bright open and friendly. The downstairs bar is like someone's living room. The dining area someone's personal home. The staff OUTSTANDING! The rooms open, airy, clean with all the amenities. The en-suite newly remodeled and as... More

Everything was close to perfect. We could leave our luggages since we arrived early in the morning and the team brought all of them to our room whilst we were enjoying the Kerry. The room had the size of a luxury hotel (without the price) and we could sleep like babies. The breakfast is maybe the weak point, since the... More

We spent three nights here in July and loved the experience. The welcome from Ronan and other staff was warm and our room was spacious and spotless. Contrary to the review below, we heard nothing from our 2nd floor room and were surprised to find that all 30 rooms were filled. Breakfast was amazing, from the full Irish to creamy... More

Stayed here in July , asked for a quiet room,we were woken up at 7.30 from the sound of a door slamming every few seconds,we were given a room over the breakfeast room and kitchen ,the constant banging was the sound of the staff moving from one area to another serving, left with no choice but to get up,after showers arrived... A group of teachers, myself included, recently stayed in this establishment for a colleague's wedding. Upon check-in, we were advised that breakfast was served the following morning at 10:30am. The following morning, we arrived at the breakfast room at 10:20am to discover that the room was locked up, there was nobody around, staff nor diners and most strikingly, there were... More

We arrived late and need to find a place for dinner. The front desk gave us a great suggestion and told us to hurry before they closed. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious. Breakfast was absolutely delightful. The homemade scones were my favorite. I wish we would have had more time to spend in Killarney!

In our second trip to Killarney, we stayed at the Old Weir Lodge, which is a short 10 minute walk to Killarney. The rooms are large, clean and quiet. The staff is superb and scored a 3 for 3 on dinner recommendations in Killarney - Hanigans (in International Hotel), Murphey's Pub/Bar and Flesk. Plenty of free parking on site.
