This B &B is outstanding, picture postcard location on edge of national park. Beautiful grounds and inside matches first impressions, with tea and cake welcome, large comfortable room, great breakfasts, (no lunch needed) and helpful advice on local sights, eating places etc. Plenty to do and see around the area, we could easily have stayed longer. Parking within the grounds,... More

We spent one night at Friars Glen and enjoyed every minute. The place is spotless, the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a plenty of choice and top quality products. We wished we could stay more but we had to continue our trip :-)

We arrived early and tired and were greeted by tea and scones. Our nap was topped off by great travel advice and a tour of the really local Muckross House. Breakfasts were to die for with service we will remember for ever, and I learnt that I should always take a spare pair of socks to the golf course. (-:

This is an outstanding Bed & Breakfast in Killarney. The proprietors of this wonderful establishment are Mary and John. They truly made us feel at home. They know Killarney well and gave us excellent suggestions for dinner and entertainment in town. They know many of the cab drivers by first name and got us a cab into town one night.... More

Stayed for three nights in early August. Friars Glen is in a great location and is really beautiful. More amazing was the hospitality of the hosts John and Mary. They made sure we enjoyed our stay and were more than gracious with their own time in helping us plan our day trips. Just wished we made more time there.

Amazing place and hosts! John and Mary are outstanding! Friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and sincere! Because of their hospitality, our trip was a success! They are truly wonderful! Besides the excellent breakfasts, the restaurants and outdoor activities they recommended were spot on!

What a lovely respite from average hotels, mediocre service and noisy environments. Mary and John are perfect hosts, the house was spotless and the breakfasts superior in every way. We wouldn't go past it if ever in Ireland again, three nights was not enough and we will were sorry to leave. Suzanne Win

Killarney is ground zero for the hordes of tourists that visit the lovely Ring of Kerry each year, but it is also home to the beautiful Killarney National Park. Friars Glen Guest House is located just outside of town, but a stay here will feel like you are tucked away in your own peaceful and quiet section of the national... More

After being greeted by Mary with a warm welcome and the offer of afternoon tea we were shown to our beautiful room on the second floor. The room was large, clean, filled with natural light and with a view across the lawn towards the fields. Breakfast, as my wife would say, was to die for, served by Bridget, who is... More
