The B&B is conviently located in the center of Killarney, minutes away from many landmarks such as Muckross House, Gap of Dunloe, Ross Castel, and being in the middle of the Killarney National Park couldn't hurt either. Planning your trip around "The Ring of Kerry" and don't know your way around it? No worries, Mary and Bridgett will be more... More

We had 3 beautiful days at Friars Glen. From our arrival when we spotted deer eating grass in the near by field every thing was perfect. On arrival we were greeted with tea and cake in the cosy lounge room. Our room was a great size and very comfortable bed. The owners and staff are wonderful and helped us plan... More

Five of us stayed at Friar's Glen for two nights in October. We should have planned to be there a week! Everything was perfect; the food, the surroundings, the help in planning activities- everything was just what you would hope for. If we should ever travel again in Ireland, staying with John and Mary will be a must do.

We stayed here with two other couples for two nights. The house and grounds were even better than what the Friar's Glen website pictured. We were made to feel very welcomed from the moment we arrived. John and Mary were a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area and the Ring of Kerry. The breakfasts were wonderful and was matched... We had the opportunity to stay at this superb establishment for 4 nights. We arrived as guests and left as friends. John and Mary gave us the warmest of welcomes with tea and cake before showing us to our exquisite rooms with lovely views of the gardens and surrounds. We had the privilege of enjoying delicious breakfasts each morning while... More

We happened to arrive at Friars Glen as the stags were "in season" and they were bugling to one another from all corners of this beautiful property-it was as though we were in a concert thrown by mother nature...add to that a stag walking by our window while eating our breakfast-did they set this all up in advance? Now throw... More

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night in this excellent B&B. Our stay was short and we were sad to have to leave so quickly. The room was comfortable, the night was quiet, and the hosts were warm and hospitable. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed two nights at Friars Glen and had a wonderful visit. Mary, John and Brigid were great hosts, making our stay very enjoyable. We were given excellent accomodations, breakfasts, and directions to exceptional walking. We were enchanted by our walks to Muckross Abbey, the lake, Muckross House and Gardens, and Torc waterfall, plus we were serenaded under full moon... More

We stayed here for three nights in October, just before the end of the high tourist season. The place still had several visitors, certainly due to the Friars Glen being the best place to stay in the region. We booked two rooms, one for me and my wife and another for my mother. It was our first trip to Ireland,... More

What a combination! A magnificent, stylish B&B, a national park surrounding you and finally the tag team of Mary & Brigid (plus John of course). If you could imagine your perfect B&B, you would be thinking of Friars Glen. The welcome is superb, the rooms spotless and well equipped, plus the hospitality of Mary and Brigid goes that extra mile.... More
