Killarney is ground zero for the hordes of tourists that visit the lovely Ring of Kerry each year, but it is also home to the beautiful Killarney National Park. Friars Glen Guest House is located just outside of town, but a stay here will feel like you are tucked away in your own peaceful and quiet section of the national... More

After being greeted by Mary with a warm welcome and the offer of afternoon tea we were shown to our beautiful room on the second floor. The room was large, clean, filled with natural light and with a view across the lawn towards the fields. Breakfast, as my wife would say, was to die for, served by Bridget, who is... More

We spent 4 nights at Friars Glen, a B&B that left nothing open to criticism! Mary & John are exceptionally friendly & professional hosts who run a quality establishment. Peaceful location on the edge of the national park, faultless & healthy breakfast, comfortable beds, impeccably clean plus easy parking. Walking distance to a pub that serves quality food & wine.... What a truly magnificent place to stay. Mary, Bridget and John were the ultimate in providing us with everything and anything we wanted. Superlatives could not describe our breakfasts and our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the bed sooo comfortable. Should you stay do tell Bridget about any exotic part of the world you may have visited and await... More

Mary and John the proprietors made us feel as if we were at home. Such a beautiful place to stay in and an idyllic setting. We were offered tea and delicious cake the second we walked through the door. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I'm from Ireland and it's the best b&b I've stayed in in the 32 counties. Thank you... More

What superlatives can we use that have not been already said by others? So much to see around Killarney / County Kerry and Friars Glen is the perfect home base. An elegant country house in great surroundings. Gracious hosts, Mary and John and their priceless housekeeper, Bridget could not have been more helpful. Unbeatable combination of fine facilities, good food... More

My review concurs with many others in finding Friar's Glen fantastic. The owners are gracious, the rooms are very nice, the grounds are lovely, and the property's proximity close to Killarney National Park is enviable. The breakfast was, as many have noted, terrific. We were a group of five with a car, and for our needs this place was perfect.... More

All of the superlatives you've read from other customers are absolutely true. Friars Glen is a perfect B&B that would meet your needs whether you enjoy your privacy or like to socialize and chat with the hosts and other guests (we took advantage of a bit of both). Unlike most B&Bs, we can highly recommend for families traveling with children... More

We booked a few nights at this charming B&B, staying in July 2014. We were warmly greeted when we entered and offered tea and biscuits while they finished readying our room. The hostess also insisted on spending some time with us and a map to help us get around. Breakfast was delicious and served in no time. After a day... More

Friar's Glen is a lovely B&B in a beautiful, park-like setting. We did not allow enough time to explore the property which borders the Killarney National Park. Our hostess provided maps, directions, and recommendations. Breakfast was delicious with nice views of the garden.
