Arrived here for two nights and wow - what a beautiful place! Very easy to find, outside of the city but close enough to get to easily enough (with a car). The room was wonderful, beds comfortable, everything very clean. Mary is a wonderful host and Bridget was a great help and fun to talk with. Some of the best... more

Friars Glen....words can not descibe. This B&B was our first stop on a 13 day trip through Ireland and afterwards NOTHING else compared. John and Mary are the best!!!Beautiful rural setting and the most wonderful breakfasts. We stayed 3 nights could have easily spent the total 13 with them. We will certainly visit again....A 10 star place!!! more

John and Mary Fuller have the Bed and Breakfast down to a fine art. Located in the most beautiful rural setting, this place is a dream come true. We were greeted with a hot pot of tea and cookies in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace during a torrential rainstorm. Other guests came downstairs and we bonded in... more

My wife and I found our stay at Friars Glen to be one of the best highlights of our trip. The accommodations were roomy, comfortable and clean. Our hosts - John, Mary and Bridget were the best. They offered suggestions when we asked about what to see or how to best schedule our day. Their wit and humor made our... more

If you are going to Killarney, you MUST stay here! The experience is truly amazing! We spent two nights, but wished we had spent at LEAST three. Since there is so much to see and do around Killarney, you lose out on really enjoying Friar's Glen if you only spend a couple nights. Please trust me on this!! My only... more

We just spent 3 nights at Friars Glen and could have stayed forever. Ireland is a country that does your heart good, and Friars Glen epitomizes the generous, warm hospitality of this beautiful place. We (50-something couple) traveled with 90-year-old mother, who is still pretty spry (and sharp as a tack), but John and Mary arranged ground-floor rooms at our... more

Can't say enough about how wonderful Friar's Glen was! We stayed three nights and would have loved to stay more. Just following the winding driveway and pulling up to all the gorgeous flowers and stonework on the front of the house made us want to linger. We wish we could relocate the whole place to Pennsylvania and set aside time... more

Everything was perfect; the location, the scenery & standard of accommodation. We were welcomed by Mary with coffee & biscuits & information about the local area & where to eat. There was a varied choice for breakfast from home grown organic rhubarb, pancakes & fritters to the traditional Irish one. All was delicious. It was difficult to decide what to... more
