Like most bed & breakfast's in Eireland the rooms are rather small so no place to open your luggage. Clean, hospitable and a very good breakfast . Located 400m from town centre. Unlike Most other B&B 's we visited they were willing to put on the heating as iT was only 10 Decrees in july.

This was our second stay and it didn't disappoint. We were delighted with our stay when we visited Killarney last November, and this time persuaded friends to come with us. They too were not disappointed. The Mountain Dew is an easy walk from the town, just far enough away from the noise and bustle of the town centre. There are... More

We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Clean and well equipped bathrooms. Great selection of food and drink in he common lounge for all guests to enjoy 24/7. The breakfast was fabulous, with many choices. Eileen was a fabulous host and we would return to her place again. Just... More

We stayed at the Mountain Dew in October 2013 not October 2014 so some time ago. It was terrific. Hosts were fantastic and very obliging of the fact that we were caught taking longer on the Ring of Kerry and would not get in until around 7.30 pm. They suggested we have dinner and come after that. Layout was great.... More

This place was great. They let me check in early, the person who checked me in even did my laundry for me. They were very accomodating and friendly. It was a short walk to the beautiful town of Killarney( I wouldn't want to do it in heels), which had all sorts of Christmas decorations up. the breakfast she made in... More

It was a wonderful trip and Eileen was a wonderful host. She was an amazing lady doing that extras bit that makes it so wonderful to travel about. Getting special food for my daughter who has celiac. She was a wealth of information. We stayed at B and B s for the three weeks we were in Ireland . We... More

I just got back from a week long trip to Ireland. I ended up staying in Mountain Dew after the ring of Kerry. I love this place. It was cold out when I went and the room was SO incredibly cozy and warm. Also, it was very pretty and presentable and clean. The bathroom was a bit small, particularly the... More

Hands down, this was the best B&B we stayed at during our multi-stop Ireland trip in late September. None of the others could hold a candle to Eileen and her hospitable accommodations. Not to mention that Eileen was one of the kindest, most friendliest caretakers we came across as well. Caretakers at two B&Bs were great, the others...not so much.... More
