We spent one night in Galway, and were very happy with Balcony House. Teresa is a warm, welcoming host, and our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The B&B is located on "B&B row," very conveniently located to Forster Square and Eyre Square. Our room was very quiet, and breakfast the next day was abundant, with both hot and cold... More

We stayed 6 days at the Balcony House and I enjoyed everything about it: Breakfast was great: it was hard to resist the pastries so early in the morning. The room was clean (enjoyed having the cleaner come every day - not used to that in a B&B). Only a short walk to the Coach and bus station and to... More

Well overdue review of Balcony House in Galway City! No better hostess than Teresa and her charming husband Michael, who lovingly open their beautiful, warm home to friends and travelers. The BEST baking ever, comes from the gifted hands of Teresa herself, she truly should open a bakery. These people love what they do, and it is evident in every... More

We recently stayed 2 nights at this B & B. As mentioned in other posts, Theresa the owner is the best thing about this place. She is very friendly and helpful and makes a good breakfast! The second best thing is the location. It is a lovely walk into the heart of town, and situated on a quiet street. The... More

This B and B was really nice. The owner was so friendly, bakes every day and could not do enough for us. She was happy to make any type of breakfast and she had her home baking at breakfast. The rooms were clean, location was great and yes it does have a cute balcony.

Welcoming and friendly, the Balcony House is only a few minutes walk to City Centre, rail and bus lines in Galway City. Yes, most of the the rooms are upstairs and they aren't giant; but they are neat and clean and very welcoming. Take advantage of the balcony to enjoy the treats left by Mrs. Coyne (Teresa). She is a... More

Arrived no booking but got a room ok.certainly set up as a family room with 2 singles and a double. All small beds . Shower ok but not a lot of pressure. Breakfast was great and substantial I feel that a little expensive given the poor bed quality but certainly was convenient walking into town.

I spent a few days here with my family in June. The host was friendly and welcoming, the place very nice. Clean and wide room, delicious breakfast with homemade breads and you could also ask for the traditional bacon & eggs... We were very pleased with our stay!

We got back into Galway a little late after our loop (close to 8PM) and there were not many vacancies up and down College Rd. Ms. Coyne was AMAZING and got us in quick and easy and sent us off to dinner at a great restaurant. Snacks and treats in the room are always a plus!!! Great place to stay!

I stayed here with some girl friends on vacation in March. I couldn't have been more pleased with our stay here. Therese Coyne, the owner, was so welcoming when we arrived and was very helpful. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the location was perfect- just a short walk to town. If you are looking to really experience... More
