Quick & friendly check in. Staff throughout the hotel were very efficient and helpful. Good selection of food for breakfast 3 course dinner was excellent. Bed was very comfortable and room was big and super clean. The hotel is very convenient to public transport into the City. Will certainly return. I have recommended this hotel to friends.

Fab place to stay although a taxi or bus ride from city centre. Comfortable beds, modern room decor with great Internet connection. Bar prices reasonable, compared to city centre. Suites are amazing and value for money all round at this hotel

Have stayed there a few times with my girlfriend. Bar staff are very friendly and helpful. Reception area very poor basic manners wouldn't go a miss.Rooms very cozy and comfortable apart from the noise from rooms beside you. We were extremely impressed with dinner absolutely delicious and quick ten out of ten. Breakfast we found very poor very tastless but... More

We've loved the Clayton. It's a very new hotel and therefore the clean feeling is everywhere! The view is tad disappointing, especially if you have sprung for a balcony room. The food is very very good downstairs, both breakfast and dinner were really lovely. It's about a 5/6 euro taxi out of town, most people wouldn't walk it. All in... More

I stayed after a long long day at the cliffs, so I was pretty tired and didn't want to wander much to look for food. Fortunately their restaurant/bar was too-notch! Yummy food served by friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant was surprisingly busy, which is never a bad sign! Unbelievable bargain for the price, but a little bit out of... More

Spent a Saturday night here a few months back. Had dinner in the bar before heading into town. The service was quite slow but when the food eventually came it was lovely. Waitress was very nice , bar man could have been friendlier though. Room was spotless and nice and quiet.

Rooms are fine - they can be a bit removed from main part of hotel but are in good condition. Food is fine and the bar (certainly on a Saturday night) was lively. Outstanding feature is the quality and friendliness of the staff. Check in made very easy (Stephanie I think). Look the only drawback here is that it is... More

First impressions as I drove in, I was happy with my choice. Then we got to reception where the lady on the desk didn't even look up. There were at least 3 other guest waiting to be acknowledged also. When she checked us in seemed pleasant enough but didn't have any idea of what was happening in the local area... More

So this hotel is the best bet in Galway. Recommended by a work colleague and friend who lives down the road. Only a few minutes from the Old town and everything one could want in a hotel. Restaurants, bar, beautiful lobby, big clean and safe rooms! The breakfast was awesome! Great beer pour and friendly faces. The night manager is... More
