It is a small hotel, not a B&B. I mean no real contact with the owners, no personal relationships with the locals. When we arrived, a teenager opened the door, said hello and showed us the room, not even a word. there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night during 15 minutes. In the morning, a young... More

We stayed here when we visited Galway and had a wonderful time! The rates were beyond reasonable for what you get when you stay there! The room was absolutely adorable (I believe we were in 8?) and well decorated, the water stayed hot during showers - with three girls it was common for the hot water to run out in... More

I really find this unbelievable that this won award off trip advisor in 2012. Just stayed in this b&b, pretty grim, door in number 6 did not lock properly with the key from the inside, flimsy bolt provided for security, hinckey stuff. The requested directions to the b&b were lacking, so though it says cashelmara on the booking, it is... More

We stayed here for 4 nights. We had a room with the view of the ocean. It is absolutely breathtaking to watch the sunset from our room. The B&B is only 5 minutes drive into Galway. You can walk along the coast into salthill town centre and supermarket nearby. The room is clean and had everything we need including tea... More

We stayed for one night, the night of Sept 24. We had room # 5, a triple room. The room was decorated very nicely. The location is very good, just a short distance from Galway's city center and a stone's throw from the center of Salthill. We were greeted by Michael and shown to our room. He recommended The Galleon... More

Amber Bay was my first overnight stay on my 10 day trip to Ireland with my wife. We had visited Galway in 2003 with our three children very briefly. Now we returned this past August to experience a wonderful city in the West of Ireland. Amber Bay is situated out of City Centre on a nice inlet to the bay.... More

We stayed here for two nights in April 2012 while touring Ireland. The property is a little way out of Galway but its location on Galway Bay makes up for it. Our room had a lovely ambience - stylishly decorated with a water view and bathroom was well appointed with plenty of hot water. Our hosts were friendly and hospitable... More
