The Achill Lodge B&B is located in Salthill. It is one of many B&B's in a cluster. Our biggest disappointment here was the so-called "American waffles." These were toaster waffles and they were barely warm when served to us. I suggest that this item be dropped from the menu. There is also inadequate parking for guests. While the area could... More

We stayed in Achill Lodge for 3 nuits on our 12 day trip to Ireland. It was the best B&B we stayed in. Nice house with a terrific view on Galway Bay. Lovely big, clean room and dining room. Landlord and landlady were extremely friendly, kind and very helpful. Best full irish breakfast we had. I can only recommend this... More

Bright modern comfortable. We had the huge front room with beautiful view and lovely big double shower room. Hosts michael and marie are helpful and friendly without being over bearing. Lovely dining room and breakfast. Good location to get in and out o Galway town with a car but too far to walk (prob well over and hour). Salthill would... More

We recently stayed at Achill Lodge, the room was clean and had beautiful views. However, we found host to be rather cold and unwelcoming. We were flying out the following day, so we requested to print boarding passes, the request was declined with a sorry excuse. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. You were not offered refills of juice or... More

We had a fantasic stay for 3 nights at the Achill Lodge- our family of 5. From our second story room, you looked over the road to a spectacular view of Galway Bay (the website pictures don't do it justice), and we could see many people swimming in the ocean (bay), as well as windsurfing, and in the far distance,... NULLI SECUNDUS We arrived at Achill Lodge on the day of the European Cup Final and were greeted by Marie and Michael Dempsey who instantly made us feel very welcome. After settling into our room and being Mancunians we obviously wanted to go and watch the match. Michael without giving it a second thought offered to give us a lift... More

Superior owners make this an excellent place to stay. It's out by the very scenic bay so its a long walk to town or take a cab. Great breakfast!
