A lovely house and a very pleasant place to stay. This is a good location for walking to Salthill, but you'll have to drive in to Galway -- a short trip. Breakfast was tasty, and Marie and Michael were very helpful in planning our drive through the northwest. more

We spent 3 nights at Abbeylee and enjoyed every moment of it! The hosts were wonderful and we felt right at home. We received valuable tips for the city, the beaches and restaurants. Thanks again very much for the great time and hospitality! more

Great B&B - Michael was so nice. He helped us in planning out our day in the Galway area, pointed out sites to stop at and they were all beautiful. Breakfast was great each morning. Room was spacious and clean. The B&B is about a 10-15 minute drive to Salthill promenade and Galway parking areas. more

I just recently returned from a multi-city tour of southern Ireland - staying at a new B&B each night - and I found the accomodations at Abbeylee to be the best!! Michael and Marian were most gracious, going above and beyond to make our stay in Galway and their home most comfortable and pleasant. I would recommend at least one... more

There is no other place to stay in Galway. Mike and Mary offer a beautiful relaxing bed and breakfast. It is wonderfully decorated with nice large rooms and they even have a wonderful bath for soaking in after a long day of touring. They are genuine people with great ideas and wonderful recommendations for places to eat. After traveling all... more

My husband and I booked a double. The room was spacious with a double bed, a single. and a large bathroom. The shower was hot and had a powerful spray. The only weird thing about it was that the glass panel only came half way across the tub, allowing water to leak out onto the floor. Other than that it... more

Stayed just the one night in AbbeyLee with my partner in the Rose Room. Bedroom was lovely and homely, we were very happy with it. Breakfast was lovely with plenty to be had and second helpings offered also. Michael and Marie were pleasant and helpful and we had no problems at all during our stay. The only thing to be... more

this place was just what was needed after 24hours of constant travel and was the perfect springboard for visiting connemara and the aran islands, pity about the rain. Michael and Marie were extremely helpful with directions and insider information on the best places to eat . My only wish is I could take that double bed back home with me... more

We stayed two nights in two rooms (we were four women) and had a really warm welcome. Our hosts were happy to give as much information as we asked for and breakfast was delicious. Beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this to others and will stay there again. more
