I stayed at the Abacus Guesthouse a few days in October/November. This location is very good as a starting point for excursions (city Galway and surrounding area). The bus stop is just a stone’s throw away and it takes only a few minutes to get into the city. All of the family members where very friendly and helpful. I just... more

The Abacus Guest House is a wonderful place to stay in Galway. Just a short bus ride from the City Center, this quaint and quiet B&B is a great home base. Our room was clean and comfortable. The owners were very accommodating, served a nice breakfast each morning and made great recommendations. For a real taste of Irish hospitality, stay... more

We stayed at Abacus Guest House for 3 nights in September and can’t say enough about the hospitality and service that Louise, Breege & Noel provided. We chose this B&B as we didn’t want to drive into congested Galway and deal with parking. What really differentiated this B&B from all the others was the kind service provided in helping me... more

Thank you to Breege, Noel and their fantastic daughter Louise for making our stay in Galway a warm, comfortable experience. They really epitomize what a bed and breakfast is supposed to be. Our room was comfortable, the shower the best of our three-week trip, and the breakfasts offered more than you could possibly eat (fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, bread as... more

Louise was very responsive when I made my arrangements via the Internet. The place was just as promised with clean comfortable rooms, helpful hosts and good food. Mini-fridge and room safe (although not needed because place is very secure) were a bonus. more

My family and I spent some unforgetable days in Galway. Abacus Guest House was fantastic, very clean, wonderful service, nothing but good adjectives. My family doesn't speak englsh and Louise and her family were always kind to the kids. I wish I had stayed longer. None of us will forget this place nor this family. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. more

Just a great experiece. Breege and her children were extremely helpful and very accommodating. The room was large and clean. A pleasant amenity in the rooms are mini refridgerators...perfect for chilling a bottle of wine. Great showers! (I guess this can be an issue in Ireland, although I must say we never experienced the "bad shower.") Located off Dublin road... more

Stayed here for over a week while I had a relative in the Bon Secours Hospital. Excellent location for this hospital and also within walking distance to Eyre Square and a lovely beach. Everything about the house was perfect and I felt very much at home there. This house is very professionally run and has excellent facilities. Lovely breakfast menu... more

On a recent trip to Ireland, I stayed at various guesthouses and Abacus stands apart from anything I experienced. On arrival, you are greeted in a professional manner with advice on their facilities like free wifi, room safe and unlimited information on the City such as where to eat, entertainment and local tours. Family run, it is in a very... more
