Just right... At by that I mean everything was Perfect!!! I travel to Galway a lot on business from London, an up until Janruary I was staying in another hotel in Galway, but choose to try out The House Hotel as I've been hearing such good reviews from clients of mine in Galway City! From once I entered the hotel,... More

My wife and I spent 2 nights here recently. We arrived at the hotel very early on a weekday (7:30 AM) from an overnight flight to Shannon from Boston. We were both exhausted, as we don't sleep particularly well on red-eye flights. The front desk clerk, Marta, was really fantastic and managed to get us our room by 10:30am so... More

Spent St. Patrick's Day and Night here and was more than happy with food, staff and stay. Old building with quirky furnishings. A modern setting in an old building which used to be Sisk Builders Galway Office in the 70's and 80's. Very smart and a most pleasant atmosphere. Bedrooms were great and beds most comfortable.

Being a regular visiter to Galway, we always go here for food and cocktails but I feel it lacks in customer service. No fault in the food, always very fresh and well presented. The decor of the hotel is also great. Very trendy and modern. It's also very clean! The waiting and bar staff need more training if anything. We... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following your visit to The House. I appreciate your kind words in relation to the food and our hotel and will pass on your comments to the Head Chef. Unfortunately it appears our staff have left us down on the side of service. What you experienced is certainly... More

Food was terrible! Ordered a barbeque pizza and got a tomato pizza with a bit of brown sauce on it. No barbeque at all! Expensive for what you get! Cocktails had more ice than anything else. Took ages to even get served. A lot of staff but they don't seem to do much. When asking for a drink, the blank... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review following our recent visit to The House Hotel. Please accept my apologies for what doesn’t appear to have been an enjoyable visit. We take our cocktails very seriously here with a minimum of 60ml of alcohol in every cocktail. I’m disappointed with the service you experienced and I... More

Modern hotel in a good part of town. Good sized rooms at a decent price but in need of some attention. Elevator takes 2 mins to go up 3 floors. Our bathtub kept getting clogged up until we realised we had to take out the pipe protector. The door to the toilet didn't close properly. Also a very silly light... More

I stayed in another hotel in Galway but happened to be invited to afternoon tea in The House Hotel Galway. It is by far a very girlie hotel and ideal for hen parties. It was a lovely setting for afternoon tea with everything pink and great service by staff. We had a selection of hot food as well as gourmet... More

This hotel is in a good location in the Latin Quarter just a minute away from the bussing Quay street. However, the rooms are tiny and it is a noisy spot in the foyer/bar/restaurant which is open plan and roll into each other. It seems to be a young persons haunt with several Hen parties adding to the noise levels.... More

We stayed for a couple of days with family and had a very pleasant stay. The city centre location of the hotel makes shopping and eating out a breeze. Despite its location on a busy corner the rooms are very quiet due to triple-glazing so we were never woken by traffic noises. As others have mentioned, the lack of a... More
