We were visiting Galway for one night only. To explore as much of the city as possible, a central location of a hotel was critical to us. The Western Hotel really meets this requirement. In addition, they rate was very reasonable and included breakfast and car parking (both are a big plus). Our room was fairly ordinary but good enough for... More

Booked this place through their website, they messed up my booking and still charged me the entire price. I have been going back and forth with this company and all they would do for me is offer me a 10e discount on the nights I put down to stay absolute thief's.

Lovely rooms, although the ones we stayed in were overlooking the street and could have done with either blinds or nets as he windows were huge so no running round in your undies. Having said that the hotel was clean the the breakfast was full irish or you could pick and choose, as much toast and cake or tea and... More

Great price, great location to Eyre Square and bus stations, clean rooms, great food, great pub, and a courteous staff. I probably won't stay anywhere else if I return to Galway. There were a few places closer, but their prices were much higher. The staff tried to get us into a room early as our travel plans had us arrive... More

We loved our stay at the western hotel apartment witch are apart of the hotel only a short walk from the hotel if you are going there. When you arrive to have to go to the hotel to book in and then you get your information and directions to the apartment by car, you get a car parking space in... More

Stayed at the Western whilst on business in Galway recently. Normally stay at the Galway Bay hotel but because of arrival time I chose this one. As others have mentioned, the location is fantastic. It is also a very reasonable price. Notwithstanding this my first impressions were that it was a little tired although very Clean. The carpets were worn... More

Wow were we surprised by this hotel. We didn't know what to expect but everything was excellent. The location was brilliant, right beside all the shops practically. The room was so spacious and the en-suite was nice. I got a lovely nights sleep. The staff were so friendly and helpful as we didn't know Galway city that well. Would definitely... More

Stayed in the Western with a buddy for a stag we were heading to in Galway. What attracted me to this hotel was value , location and free parking, and it lived up to this on all aspects. Previous comments made suggested that the car park is hard to find, I didn't find this the case, I just rang the... More
