The Swallow is absolutely lovely and has the best possible hosts you could find. My friend and I spent a few days there last summer. The room was cosy and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was hearty and wonderful, and we always got something to eat in the morning, even if we got up a wee bit late after a... More

I spent last week in the lovely City of Galway with my group Pandora's Box, performing at the Galway Early Music Festival. Three of us stayed at The Swallow, and it's hard to imagine a friendlier, more helpful B&B (and I have stayed in a LOT of them in my time!). The owners, Jimmy & Pat, provide a lovely breakfast... Fantastic super friendly hosts! Lovely breakfast, comfy beds with en suite - couldn't reccomend highly enough for a cosy bnb to stay at during your time in Galway whether holiday or a bit of business! The bathroom is clean and tidy. Kettle for tea and coffee in the room. The owners are really two of the most helpful and friendly... More

Our first Irish B&B and we weren't disappointed - the hosts were very friendly, the location was a short 10 minutes walk to Quay Street and the ocean, and the breakfast set us up nicely for the day ahead.

We just chose the first B&B we found in Galway and it was just perfect! The location is great: 10 min walk to lively Galway and 10 min to the great beach of Salthill. The hosts are just lovely and we couldn't have wished for a better stay. Thanks!!

we had a wonderful stay at Swallow Bed and Breakfast this March. The room was very tidy with everything we needed. The host both Jimmy and Patricia were delightful. Breakfast was great. The b&b was in a great location with only a short walk into town to watch the st Patrick's day parade. There was ample parking on the street.... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the Swallow B&B in September 2013, but have been remiss in writing a review until now. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Jimmy was 'manning' the place as Patricia was out of town and what an absolutely delightful man! We were given the choice of several rooms in the main house... More

This must be the 5th or 6th time I have stayed at the B&B and it is my first call when I have need to travel to Galway. Patricia and Jimmy make me feel so at home, its as though I am at home. I lost a button of my best shirt just before going out to a meeting and... More

The location is great, 10 min walk to city center and 10 min the other way to the Salt Hill neighborhood. The place is welcoming and the owners are very nice. The rooms are a bit small but they have their own bathrooms with hot showers. I would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at the Swallow last month for two nights whilst visiting friends in Galway. I was greeted by Jimmy and Patricia, who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. I wanted to do some sightseeing whilst on my trip and Jimmy booked me a bus and assisted me with any questions I had. Room was lovely, clean, fresh... More
