This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the Asgard. It's conveniently located on College Road just a short walk to City Centre. Geraldine was awesome...she made lovely breakfasts, booked us bus tours and helped with any questions we had. Plus she made many suggestions of great things to do around town. It was a great stay and I can't... more

I had a wonderful stay at this quaint little B&B in Galway, Ireland. The hostess was fabulous, the food was good and the B&B was quiet and relaxing. I very much enjoyed my stay here and I loved sitting in the sun room out back around the garden eating my breakfast and reading my book. There is free parking and... more

Asgard was a good home base for our one night in Galway. Plenty of free parking for guests. Easily walkable to downtown. Right next door to the dog race track. And a room that was good enough. I agree with one of the other reviewers, you could just wait until you get to Galway to book a place that meets... more

We booked Asgard based on other TA reviews and wish we'd waited to find our own B & B in Galway. There are about a dozen along the same stretch of College Road, which is an ideal location, easily walkable from downtown and all the sights of Galway. Geraldine, who runs Asgard, is wonderfully friendly, helpful and a wiz at... more

The best part about Asgard is the staff, starting with the owner Geraldine, right on down to the girls who help keep the place running. I stayed three nights here in July 2009 and have enjoyed it all the more after a bad experience at a more posh guest house where the owner was frosty and unhelpful. Despite smaller rooms,... more

Asgard house was exactly what was needed after a disappointing stay in a rivaling B&B. Katie greeted us and made us feel instantly at home. Our room was clean and very comfortable. What sets this B&B above all others is Geraldine, the owner. She took us (and I'm sure all the other guests) under her wing and made you feel... more

We stayed here 2 nights after driving into town from Dublin. They offered us a really great rate up front with no BS. Everyone was really friendly an willing to help out with directions. It's also very close to town, < 5 min, and the breakfast is great. more
