I really regret booking here. The carpet is so gross, I won't walk without shoes. The bed is extremely uncomfortable - worse than a pull-out couch. Springs dig in my side and it says in the middle. I woke up with a lot of soreness. Everything is dusty, including the glasses. It's very noisy and I had a hard time... More

Totally substandard. After you give it one star for location, it is hard to find anything else positive to say. Furniture very scarred, rug stained and dismal, lobby cramped, elevator dirty. Found a broken CFL bulb left on the side table.(Keep in mind that CFL bulbs leak mercury!) Our friends who booked a room with a double bed were given... More

Right in the heart of Galway, close to everything. Lovely accommodating staff, accidentally booked the wrong dates but they were fantastic for fitting in and finding a room! Good size, great amenities and very helpful for activities and fixing up of other bookings. Can definitely recommend!

Ok to set the bench mark I have stayed in many hotels all over the world so I know good and I know what bad is like. The Spanish Arch is on Quay St which is a busy street full of bars and eating places. Its a very busy and lively street and stays busy until the early hours so... More

Stay far away from this hotel, the room me and my boyfriend stayed in was filthy, the walls were covered in mould and damp and there were stains on the walls and roof. The elevator dropped, stopped and started under the weight of my boyfriend who is a bodybuilder, even though it is supposed to hold eight people. We requested... More

Location of the hotel was great, right on the main walk of the city center. Rooms are not big but clean, and staff helpful. But there is one BUT.....our room was located towards the main street...so we heard drunk people until 3 AM making it almost impossible to sleep...and just two hours later cleaning trucks, garbage trucks etc etc...sow e... I stayed here recently as I needed to be in Galway unexpectedly for work. Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews as I was in a rush to book somewhere, so I didn't know what kind of hotel it was. Some pluses and minuses below: Pros Location is excellent, perfect for local pubs and restaurants Hotel staff seemed friendly Heating worked... More

Being in the heart of the " Latin Quarter ", the Spanish Arch is excellently placed. Not only is there live ,quality bands at this hotel, but there are numerous venues on your doorstep with an abundance of different music from rock to traditional. Then there is the food, you are quiet simply spoilt for choice, the "Arch" itself or... More

Hi 'skinman' I just wondered did you bring the TV situation to the attention of Front Desk. The TV don't normally go on the blink and if they do its a simple fix, if we are alerted. Sincerely, Frank. More
