Stayed here for a night on a last minute trip to Galway. The rooms are quite small but given all we wanted was a place to get ready and sleep it did us fine. The location is excellent right in the middle of Galway nightlife and the bar downstairs always has a great atmosphere with a live band at the... More

I dont normally do reviews as i always feel everyones expectations are different with what they deem as reasonable... however after experiencing this "hotel" and after the disappointing response and conclusion to my complaint with the "hotel" manager, I Feel it is only human of me to express my concerns and hopefully prevent anyone else experiencing what we did. This place is terrible. If looking for a good noisy bar, you have hit lucky, but the sleeping experience requires much in the way of liquid sedation. I arrived at 7pm on Saturday and saw no-one at reception (used loosely, it is a corridor) until checking out at noon the next day when a pleasant man called Conor kept saying... More

Circumstances: 15 of us in there for a stag, drinking and watching the soccer, some of them also got food which they were all delighted with. Venue: Very nice Irish pub, warm and friendly. Before we left a band started and the atmosphere really picked up, looked like a great spot to spend the night but we had a stag... More

For a group of 6 fellas on a rugby weekend, this place was perfect - slap bang in the middle of Galway's bars and restaurants. The late night entertainment on the Friday and Saturday nights were full-on bands, and the drummers gave it some welly! It was a popular venue for the younger element. Yes, it was a little noisy... The hotel was clean, the food was good, parking was almost next door, and the location is in the middle of everything. A bit of noise at night is just what you would expect from a happening place like this on Quay St. We loved the excitement of being in the center of everything. Coner Hegarty was so helpful and... This hotel is in an ideal location in the tourists area. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is clean and basic. The room was comfortable. The only complaint I have is that the lift was smelly and the carpet needed replaced. With regards to value for money it was excellent.

I stayed at the Spanish arch hotel for two nights with my husband and I really was impressed. When we entered the hotel we were greeted by the lovely Julia who could not doing enough for us the entire time we were there. Oisin was a darling aswell, a very witty chap. The entire staff are what make this hotel... More

Booked the Spanish Arch for my mates stag weekend and it was spot on. We had a room with 4 beds which was a bit cramped but fine as all we needed was somewhere to lie in between drunken states. The main guy who runs reception was great and the lady(loosely used) on reception on sunday morning was a real... More

Went down to Galway with a group of friends and booked this hotel because of its great location. However from the moment we got there, the ignorance and bad manners from the staff at the front desk (especially the manageress) was by far the worst I've come across in a hotel. Most hotels have their faults but the least you'd... More
