We stayed here for two nights in July. On arrival when i walked through the door I thought oh no what have I booked. The reception area was grubby an dirty. It defo needs a new carpet and a paint job. We had to wait an hour or so to check in as we were early, that wasn't a problem... More

We stayed here over the 4th of July for two days. Conor greeted us and he was super friendy and very helpful. Our room was on the 2nd floor facing Quay Street. Conor informed us it would be noisey, but that was fine with us...we didn't care about that. We got to our room and unfortunately it was not pretty...there... More

Our stay at the Spanish Arch Hotel was great from start to finish. We arrived early and were greeted warmly and allowed to keep our bags at reception for the hour or so it would take to get our room ready. The rooms are very spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The location right on Quay Street cannot be beat.... More

I booked the Spanish Arch for a group of 9 women going to a hen party. It was conveniently located and I wanted everything to be within easy walking distance. We arrived early and were greeted by a very friendly Conor. He told us our rooms weren't ready but we could leave our bags there at reception. We filled in... More

Great location and Quay Street has everything you could want in Galway. Great food, great music and interesting people watching. The hotel is old, so expect the rooms to be a bit tired. We were not there for the technology, and spent very little time in our room except to sleep. We had wonderful days of weather and spent time... More

Hi GlfChk228, I hope the number above is not your Golf Handicap, assuming from your tag that you're a golfer. :-)) Thank you so much for your kind comments, I will ensure that Conor is aware of them. He is a fine Ambassador for our hotel. Hopefully we will see you back soon again. Sincerely, Frank. More

I stayed with my mom and cousin at this hotel near the Spanish Arch in Dublin in June while attending a graduation at NUIG. It can be noisy as the rooms are located right above the bars and cafe's on shop street but if this doesn't bother you, its a great to be so close to the town and its... More

My husband and I stayed here over the past weekend. If you're looking for Wi-Fi then don't stay here unless you want to spend your whole day in the bar. It usually would not be an issue, but we needed to Skype our son in the states. The rooms were not clean, and the full bed is two twin beds... More

Popped in to this hotel yesterday 8th June 2014 to watch Roscommon/Mayo Match. Nice hotel in general...old type decor which is nice..Pity about the Barman on duty. Didnt get his name( was wearing glasses, small in height) he really should go back to charm school, no greeting or thank you... He definetly would not hold the crowd... Also drink prices... More

We headed up to Galway with no plans or place to stay. We found out they were offering discounted rooms so we stopped in. The reason was that their elevator was out of service so we would have to walk up the 4 flights of stairs to our room. No big deal at all. It is very unassuming and a... More
