This is a lovely B and B just a 10 minute walk from the city centre. I will definitely go back because of the great service and fantastic breakfast. I loved the charming decor and the simple touches--things like homemade cookies and a lovely variety of teas. Also, my bed was very comfortable.

Stayed 2 nights here in July. It's very close to city centre, just 5 minutes walk. Russell greeted us and had interesting recommendations for restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our stay and breakfast is certainly a bit different- not often you get served home made pancakes by a sculptor. Beyond 2 nights I guess we would be concerned about the... More

We stayed two nights at The Stop, which is within easy walking distance of the City Centre. Arriving early afternoon, we were welcomed by Russell, who was more than happy to accommodate our need for an early breakfast the following day. Our room was simple, but comfortable. Tea and coffee is constantly available in a guest lounge, with home made... More

Tired (flying all night) with bags. Russell met us and told us to set our bags down-provided us with map of area and steered us to a breakfast spot while readying room. His map of local restaurants within 15 minutes was amazing, Returned and bags were in room ready for rest. Rooms were spotless...not elaborate, judt neat angd Ireland.! His... More

When travelling Ireland for two weeks we chose the stop b&b for two nights in Galway. It is perfectly situated to explore the lively city. Our room was small but tastefully decorated. Only the bathroom was the tiniest we met all over the island ;) Luckily there is a car park behind the house but it challenges one's driving skills...... More

What an awesome place. Great location, wonderful, friendly host, who give you insiders information on where to eat and see in Galway. Tasty and artfully prepared breakfast. Walking distance to new West side district and Latin Quarter. Rating would be a five except for extremely small showers and tight parking situation. In spite of that this will be our Galway "Stop"!

Quaint and trendy Bed and breakfast. Amazing breakfast, great location and friendly hosts. Rooms a little small, but manageable for short duration. Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Hope to be back sooner than later.

The first thing we noticed was that American jazz from the '60's was playing in the living area. Later we heard a steady dose of Van Morrison. Our rooms were nice, but the shower was so small that a person of my girth had some trouble fitting in it and taking a shower. The manager told us that it was... More

My partner and I have just come back from a long weekend in Galway to visit the arts festival. The Stop B&B helped to make it an absolutely fantastic weekend!!! Firstly the location of the B&B was perfect, I was so impressed we could get such great priced rooms within such close proximity to the centre! The walk into the... More

Where do I even begin with this wonderful B&B? The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. Beautifully decorated with Russell and Emer's artistic touch evident. Breakfast was delicious and I can say this after I tried every option. The pancakes were probably the best I've ever had! I think the best feature of this B&B is its proximity to Galway... More
