We stayed at the Forster Court in Galway for two nights at the beginnning of our vacation. The location is ideal, close to the bus and train stations, and right in the midst of Eyre Square. You do not need a car, and you won't want one because I suspect parking is very difficult. You can walk to many restaurants,... More

The Forster Court is a great place to stay in Galway. We stayed 2 nights recently in Aug. The service is very friendly and helpful answering our questions about restaurants, sites locally, etc. The room was quite large, surprisingly so. It was a bit dated but was very clean and had character. No air conditioning which is likely not uncommon... More

Delightful hotel, located in a great part of town. Breakfast was delicious & the staff recommended an excellent place for dinner. The staff were very accommodating about holding our luggage while we were out. Would definitely stay there again ... hope we have the opportunity to do so.

Stayed here for race week. Asked for a quiet room and got one (108) no view which was not a problem and was very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff in particular were very efficient young girls. The breakfast was very varied from a large buffet and also a hot breakfast. We had the veggie breakfast... More

Hotel is a short walk to Eyre Square and main part of town. Rooms were comfortable and the included breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly but seemed reluctant to make recommendations on where to eat. As previously reported, checking in is difficult when arriving by car as hotel is on a very busy street with no parking and no staff... More

I stayed here for one night on the 24th of July, and as I traveled by train the location is perfect, just a short stroll from the station. It is also well positioned for the rest of Galway. Check in was handled in a friendly and helpful manner. My room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, which ensured a good nights sleep.... More

From the reviews and the website photos I was expecting a biggish room in good condition. We got a very worn looking bedroom which was rather depressing and dingy. There was a stale smell as if somebody had been smoking. The worst hotel we have been in in Galway so far! Needs a good overhaul. We will definitely not be... More

I was not sure what to expect. Some of the TA reviews stated that the hotel was old and worn. Well, Galway is an old city. There are no brand new hotels. We thought it was perfect! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The full breakfast was very good! The location is perfect. The hotel is just a couple... More

After planning a short visit to Galway and booking another hotel we found ourselves with an accommodation hiccup when that hotel went into receivership and was offering room only we took a friend's recommendation and booked a room with the Forster Court Hotel over their website which was really simple. After receiving our confirmation email very swiftly we realised that... More

This was our second time staying at the Forster Court. The front desk staff is welcoming, professional and very helpful. Necia (hopefully I'm spelling that correctly) was such a sweetheart during our overnight visit. The rooms are comfortable and spacious for a city center hotel. The restaurant and bar are both excellent. We only ate breakfast in the restaurant, but... More
