A group of friends and I stayed in the Travelodge earlier this month. To me it is like a large B&B with a charge on the Wi-Fi and the breakfast. Prior to arrival there was a charge of over 300 taken which was not mentioned upon booking. On the day of arrival I was informed that if I didn't use... More

I recently brought a team of 15 staff to the travelodge for a project we were working on in Galway. The hotel itself was really nice, clean and the staff were particularly friendly and helpful. As we were working all day on the day of our check out the manager let us leave all our bags in one of the... More

Stayed to allow me to attend a conference nearby. Very happy with the hotel. Comfortable rooms. Reasonably priced. Short walk to Eyre Square. Just a wee bit of a pity that have to pay extra for breakfast, but the place is competitively priced, I guess.

We travel all over the UK in our business, and use the Premier Hotel Group. Just happened to be in Galway and Travel Lodge had the best rates. Was a reasonable Taxi fare from the city and really clean and comfortable. Great lads staffing the place. Really friendly. Would recommend it highly John M.

I hadn't planned on staying the night in Galway the night I stayed but unexpected travel plans led me to the travel lodge. The hotel its self is nice; clean, free WiFi in the lobby, nothing super special. However it's with the staff that this hotel exceeds many others. Both men running the front desk could not have been nicer.... More

The price we paid reflected what we got. That is not a criticism. The room is basic but you're not paying over the odds for it. The staff were helpful when we needed info. The room, and hotel in general, was clean. Located about 15mins walk from the city centre. Was a 6 euro taxi in (although i assume this... More

It was a good last minute stay at travelodge,I stayed there for 3 nights and it was good. Easy access to main city center as bus stop is just 4 minutes walk away. It will might look not so good when you will first enter as the reception area is quite basic but this hotel is worth considering if you... More

Clean rooms, lounge with free WiFi, good price and 10-15 min walk from city centre. Only thing that was a bit disappointing was that breakfast was offered at €7-€9, which is kind of steep for little boxes of cereal... The young man on the desk when we arrived was exceptionally friendly and helpful, offered several suggestions for where to eat... More

Dear LornaCM, Thank you kindly for your review. I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Just to clarify; the €7 Continental Breakfast fee actually covers an all you can eat buffet which includes cereal but also unlimited cold meats, cheese, scones, breads, fruit and juices. I thank you once again for your valuable feedback and do... More

I was in the University hospital Galway after my dying mother was giving her last rights. I made an enquiry to a nurse about the nearest hotel only to be offered a free room for myself and my wife by the manager of the Travel lodge sitting beside the nurse in the Hospital. To be honest I believe there is... More
