I must admit I was apprehensive about staying here. My visits to the same chain in Belfast have been disappointing as the hotel looks dirty and seems to have a constant stream of less than desirable guests. I was pleasantly surprised that this was not the case in Galway. The staff were pleasant and the place was clean. It was... More

The hotel was very clean, cheap and close to the city center. The staff is very friendly and helpfu. The room was clean and comfortable everything worked perfectly. They have a bar on the ground floor where you can eat or have a beer before or after visiting the nearby places.

we were booking in on Wednesday 18/3/15 as part of a Charity Cycle ride from Galway to Dublin. Seamus and Vil, could not do enough for us, with genuine care and interest in our stay and activities. As a Londoner, I have to say that we have an opinion about Travelodge, as being basic, unfriendly and stark. The team demonstrated... More

25 of us stayed in the Travelodge the weekend of my sister's hen party. On arrival, the manager was extremely friendly and offered us great advice about where to go etc. During our stay the rooms were really clean and comfortable. Every member of staff was really friendly, accommodating and always there to help. I highly recommend this place to... More

We arrived on the 16th for St Patrick's Day, I enquired regarding bringing my dog which was no problem at all. The friendly guy at reception was a credit to travelodge, anything you asked him he was more than happy to help. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived as we were an hour early, the gentleman kindly made us... More

And I couldn't of asked for more. The staff went out of there way to make sure I had a pleasant stay. The information I was given about where to go in Galway was amazing and I would definitely go there again because I went in feeling dreary and came out feeling sprightly.. Wack the heating on because it's cold... More

I have stayed in far far worse hotels for more money, and this in comparison to them is luxury. It is still a no-frills hotel but the bed was comfy, 2 nights good sleep was had! The breakfast was fine, the only problem is they ran out of Guiness but when it was on it was really good. A few... More

I stayed here recently with my children and we found the staff to be very attentive and genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable. The hotel is spotless and only 10/15 min walk to the centre of the city.
