I stayed in this hotel with 3 friends for a weekend. check in was supposed to be 2 pm. They did not have our room ready until 4 pm. we had to wait 2 hours for our room. Then when we finally did get up to it they were still cleaning it. It was very disorganised and compared to other... more

I stayed here with a large group of girls, it is a good hotel for its location to all of Galways shopping & nitelife. Our room was quite spacious with 3 single beds, we had a nice flat screen TV but limited channels! room was clean, unfortunatly the water was not hot on the saturday evening and we had to... more

The location of the Imperial cannot be faulted - it is right in the city centre, facing Eyre Square, and it is just a couple blocks away from the meeting point for the Galway Tour Company (which is highly recommended!) Our room was spacious and reasonably clean, and the continental breakfast quite good - meats and cheeses, breads, fruit and... more

We had a really good experience staying 2 nights in Galway at this hotel. I understand that we were probably also very lucky to get a very nice room, right at the front of the hotel with a view over Eyre Square. This presented a few problems at night and in the early morning, as one can hear the noise... more

A bit difficult to get to being in the middle of the city, but the location is fantastic. Situated right off of Eyre Square and great shops and pubs. The room was comfortable yet plain. I could hear the guest in the next room snoring and every word the cleaning ladies said each morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. more

The imperial hotel is situated right in the centre of Galway City, only a moment walk from the train station. The location of this place is perfect for a traveller wishing to explore Galway City and surrounds. BUT WE WERE NOT HAPPY ... Quite simply we found this place bad value for money. Although the rooms were quite spacious and nicely... more

We stayed in this hotel before the refurb and it was fine, but now it is excellent I have to say. Modern contemporary look our room was a good size with a king bed, air con, flat scree TV. Bedroom and bathroom were fresh looking and very clean. Breakfst was a buffet, very good selection and moved to the first... more

Have been visiting Galway for many years and stayed in the old Imperial. I have to say the refurb is the bees knees and have lifted the hotel into the 21st century while keeping the friendliness of staff along with that famous late bar :-)). Will definitely be back again soon for more of the craic! more
