Location is about 5 min walk into the city centre. Local bus stops outside. Quaint excellent feel upon entering the building. Not a thing out of place. The brothers are great to talk to, pass on local knowledge and assist with anything from refilling water bottles to printing out the boarding passes you need to booking that tour. 900 metres... Great review but its about the wrong establishment. This reviewer stayed at St Judes Lodge in College Road Galway and not at St Judes B&B Lower Salthill. We are happy to stand over our own reputation and reviews that reflects stays with us. Ita & Tony Johnstone, St Judes, Lower Salthill, Galway. More

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a great stay. The location is perfect for time in the city centre as well as having the sea on your doorstep in Salthill, just 10 minutes walk away. To be honest, we also walked to and from the city, which is about 20minute walk away, or you can get the bus right... More

Thank you for your comprehensive and accurate review. Delighted you enjoyed the dogs and your stay at St Judes. As you've commented, we are upgrading our wifi so that it is accessible in all bedrooms throughout the house and expect to have that completed shortly to overcome the challenges that a period house, such as ours, provides in this regard.... On this 9 day Ireland trip, l wanted a mix of quaint hotels, castles and B and B's. Our room was very small and devoid of any amenities. No shampoo, lotion and soap at sink in dispenser. Shower soap dispenser was empty. No coffee or tea station as most b and bs offer. Host was mostbunfriendly. Breakfast was nice and... More

Nice location just north of City Hall and Eyre Square. Big room and bathroom but the TV is old and tiny. Free printer was very handy for printing directions. Host was eager to please. They had a good breakfast for an extra 6 euros.

St Jude's was a good luck find for us on our recent stay in Galway. Only needed a twin and a single but we ended up with two family rooms at no extra charge as that was all that was left. Congenial twin brother hosts who attended to our every need and advised us well as to local services including... More

My husband and I had the good fortune to stay at St. Jude's in September, 2014. We could not have been happier with the service, food and comfort of this beautiful B & B. The family was welcoming from the moment we stepped inside. Our room had a lovely view of the garden and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Both... More

So seldom in Ireland these days do you happen on a bed & breakfast that deserves such great praise. Only very few come to mind that I have stayed in and I am happy to say this is one. The house is beautifully decorated, sympathetic to its building era. We had a lovely large room, the fluffiest towels, the hottest... More

We had a genuinely lovely experience at St. Jude's B&B. The location was good, about a 15-20 minute walk to Galway city center and 10 minute walk to the beach. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well decorated and the ensuite bathrooms, though small, were impeccably clean. The breakfast wasn't exactly exceptional but it was pretty good and the service... More
