The best hostel where I've stayed in my travel across Ireland. It is nice and clean with a good atmosphere in the common rooms(kitchen, tv room) situated in the city center of Galway. The breakfast is good Staff are very kind and helpful.

This was my first stay in a hostel and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is right in the city centre so everything is in walking distance. The hostel itself is very clean and well kept with friendly and informative staff. They helped us find good affordable restaurants and things to do during the day and night. It also offers... More

I`ve stayed one night at the hostel but it was too noisy for me as I was exhausted from my trip and needed a good night sleep. The hostel management moved me to an apartment upon my request which was not too far from the hostel. The apartment had a big kitchen, stove, oven, washer and dryer which was really... More

Located smack-dab in the middle of things in the pedestrian zone. I enjoyed being able to walk out the front door and be met with tons of live music in various pubs and restaurants. The one downside to this was that the music did not stop in until well after 2am, and when it stops, the street cleaning and morning... More

Our room was a bit small and opening the window was a bit difficult, but apart from that a nice hostel in a great area! It is located in central Galway close to bars and the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit too simple...

The staff here were excellent! They went out of their way to help with any query I had. The room was tidy and the ensuite was clean and everything worked well. I can't wait to come back and stay again!! :-)

Great place to stay, friendly helpful staff, very clean room and facilities. Not noisy at all for somewhere dead centre of town. Best of all.....no taxis needed after the pub crawl...Will definitely stay again. Linda and Patrick

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Barnacles. Great staff who are extremely helpful and friendly making for a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are very clean and the rec room is very chilled when wanting to relax. Also located in a great spot in Galway, Quay Street. A fun street full of characters, fine restaurants and famous pubs. My stay was... More

Good location in the centre on a completely pedestrianised street (so don't drive round looking for it because you won't find it!) staff pleasant enough but the lady who checked us in didn't fill us with confidence she knew what she was doing. Our room was nice enough only thing that let them down were the bathrooms which seemed a... More
