After an enjoyable day at the Galway Races last Tuesday evening, we decided to go to the Galway Bay Hotel in Salthill for a 'bite to eat' in the Bar (wanted to avoid the crowds in town). The food was very tasty indeed. We were very impressed with the service and in particular with the charming young woman who looked... More

Stayed recently for two nights...got upgraded to a beautiful suite over looking Galway Bay. An older hotel which has been refurbished and very well maintained. Staff are very professional and food of good standard and a brilliant selection for breakfast. Couldn't fault my stay here!

Loves this hotel. Family break to visit family in galway, was a great spot for kids, funfair next door, 2 min from aquarium, 20minfrom spiddal beach, and 5 min from town. Overlooks the sea so you really feel like your on holiday. We had 2 kids with us and as there were no family rooms left, they gave us a... More

Spent 4 day family break here. Very good value family deal. Friendly efficient check in. Enormous room but short on storage space. Swimming pool quite small and this was an issue because leisure land still out of action. Super kids club in mornings and evenings with movies till 11 pm. Tasty breakfasts in very busy restaurant with staff a little... More

Friendly welcoming staff, they were approachable and the girls Marguerite and Sharon in the spa were brilliant. The bar staff friendly and welcoming. We only ate on our first evening the food arrived extremely overcooked so this put us off eating any other time. The breakfast room service was prompt but they forgot 1/2 the order both times leaving my mum... Called in to the Hotel recently for a quick bite. Was greeted warmly by Gerard at the desk and he recommended Harvest Cafe for Lunch. I was not disappointed. The gourmet soup selection was great to see, I had one with Chicken in it and was so tasty. Service was good, Emma was very friendly. Will be back

The hotel was big and busy. A wedding and plenty of tourists but it coped very well. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The town is a short walk away. The bay is over the road. An ideal place to stay for a Galway break. Try and take in the show downstairs after a great dinner. Everything buzzing but well... More
