My elderly parents stayed in the hotel for two weeks and received a consistent high level of care and attention - particularly from Patricia Manion, who I am very grateful to. They enjoyed their visit so much they definitely want to go back again next year. Dad is 87 and mum is 83 ! Also special thanks to Emma who... More

This hotel is a beautiful setting that is a short distance from the center of town with a great walkway by Galway Bay. Although the restaurants close early, I loved the hotel's enclosed patio and sunroom area where inspite of the chill you could enjoy the views.

I stayed here with my mother and sister on a trip from Dublin to Galway, visiting the Wild Atlantic Way, Cong and Knock. The hotel was very comfortable and we ate both lunch and dinner in the bar. Food excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. Would stay again and would recommend.

Im getting to the stage now that i'm a little embarrassed with my reviews of the Galway Bay Hotel as they have to out do the last review each time as the hotel , staff and food are just great. Stayed there in August with my wife and 2 children. We ate at the hotel, which has a new menu... More

stayed here for one night recently. We had a very nice welcome and reception staff were very nice. Hotel is very big and comfortable but maybe slightly old fashioned compared to some other 4* hotels in Galway. Breakfast which was fine, except poached eggs were extremely overdone. The weather was lovely so we sat outside overlooking the sea which was... More

I booked two rooms for myself and a friend. I booked in march 2014. This hotel is the epitome of bad management. When I booked I said I was disabled and may use a wheelchair, I booked for the two friends travelling together. When we arrived I was pn the ground floor in a "wheelchair" friendly room, my travelling companion... More

We didn't get a room with the bay view so the room was nothing special. It meets all your basic expectations from a hotel room. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, and we honestly regret doing so. The food was so so and the service was very slow. I don't think our experience met the expectations we had... More

I had occasion to call Galway Bay to ask them to provide a round of drinks for some friends of mine who were staying there for a few days. Initially, in spite of several phone calls,it proved very difficult to get anyone who could fulfil this for me. However, I was then lucky enough to speak with Paul O'Connor, who... More

This is a quality hotel in a beautiful setting. Good size twin rooms with two queen size beds, spotless and with lovely linen. Our room had a sea view. The buffet breakfast was superb and so extensive you didn't need to eat for the rest of the day but there were plenty of lovely places to eat close by so it... More

The Galway Bay hotel is situated right on the Atlantic ocean with lovely views outside. You are close to a promenade along the shore and some nice beaches. The breakfast was very good here and there is a nice bar where you can relax in the evenings. The hotel is very clean and the lobby very spacious.
