The hotel was ok and not in the heart of the city. I'm not sure I'd consider it 4 star. Our room window looked out to the parking lot and it was quite noisy all night. more

We've just returned from a two night stay during the midterm. Again I can't praise the staff enough, with the swimming pool and the added bonus of the kids camp, the children were kept entertained and actually didn't wake at the crack of dawn! The restaurant is worth a visit on its own. I'll only get boring if I keep... more

Went here on a business trip but thanks to the helpful staff it turned out more-so as a leisure trip. Helped me set up a great night out in Galway to entertain clients after having settled into our comfy rooms and a stint in the great bar for a bit of banter. Cant recommend enough. more

I stayed in the Galway Bay Hotel recently with my husband and 2 young kids. We couldn't fault the hotel. Service was excellent. Breakfast buffet was great and evening meals were superb. It was great destination for young kids, the restaurant was v accomodating. The swimming pool was great and the kids club was a great hit. We will definitely... more

Just returned from a visit to Galway and stayed at The Galway Bay. Perfect location on the promenade, with a great view from our 1st Floor Room..From our arrival we were treated in a courteous and respectful manner by all staff members. The room was ready when we arrived, was very clean and airy.. When we returned from our breakfast... more

This is a great hotel. The location overlooking galway bay is fantastic. Take a stroll on the prom and you could be in santa monica! Excellent food in the restaurant. Friendly service. Helpful staff. It is a great base for exploring galway city or indeed spiddal and the west. And great rates too, will definately be back. more

I had the pleasure of staying in the Galway Bay Hotel last weekend and it once again lived up to my expectations- Warm reception, cosy room with a perfect view and I even treated myself to a facial and a movie on my bedroom TV. Even though the last few times I've been there its been just my partner and... more

This was are third visit to The Galway Bay Hotel (perfect stop off for travelling). The only thing that's changed in the hotel is less staff, especially in the dinig areas. It's an OK hotel, guests are either american tourists on short one nighters or young families on a short stop off. The lobby is bland & bright, a bit... more

We stayed in the Galway Bay last weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Salthill hasn't realy changed since I holidayed there as a kid with my parents and I was having flashbacks as I drove along the prom! The reception staff were very friendly and our room was ready for us when we arrived. It was very well furnished with... more

Was there on a business trip and arrived late. In my room the hot water tap would not work, the heating would not work and the curtains would not close properly leaving bright lights outside all nights. To be fair I reported it and the staff tried that night tried to get it sorted and the manager gave me a... more
