We decided to stay at Corrib Village because the weather was too wet for us to camp in Galway as planned. It was absolutely fine for what we wanted - i.e a roof over our head and somewhere to shower. It is or has been used as student accommodation so bear this in mind before booking. There are no frills... more

Well, for a student accomodation, it's a very nice place! I had a single ensuite room, which was decently sized, the bathroom was fine, there was no smell at all, not perfectly clean, but still it was in good shape. The staff were really nice.....the breakfast....well, let's say pretty basic, but I found out that Irish people usually eat cereals... more

Booked this place for EUR80 per night (July 2008). I was fully aware this was student accommodation at the time of booking but because my meeting was at NUI Galway location was key to my choice. Checking in at 2pm I was brusquely informed that "check-in wasn't until 4pm". Somewhat bemused by this statement, the receptionist then offered to check... more

We booked here for two nights in Galway. We wanted something cheap as we aould only be laying our heads there. we knew it was student accomodation and have stayed in other student accomodation in galway which is much better. the room is a dull drab grey with only a little table lamp to light the room and the smell... more

I booked one night here to break a long journey as the hotel i had been hoping to use was fully booked. I was travelling with my 2 year old daughter so i booked us a double room with breakfast, thinking that for such a cheap price I dont mind sharing a bed with a toddler. I was fully aware... more

I was looking for decent, cheap accommodation in Galway for about 10 people. I booked Corrib Village because it was only €60/night for a double ensuite. This included a continental breakfast. While the facilities and location are good, the rooms are cramped, musty and rarely cleaned. The shower was filthy and the drainage so bad that after 2 minutes, the... more

I stayed at Corrib Village for a week in July and I have to say it was a lot better than I thought it would be for the price, paying just €20 a night!! The dorms were spotless, as were the grounds. There was a games room with pool table, juke box, etc. There was a shop on the grounds... more

I stayed in Corrib Village in June 2005 and again in July 2006. A great thing they have introduced this year is key cards for the room, I know last year my friends had some problems with getting the wrong room but because of the key cards this year, check in was quick and easy and we were all given... more

Upon arriving at Corrib Village, I was delighted to see that the dorms were easily found, with signposts directing the way. I was also able to remember which dorm was mine, with distinguishable colours having been applied to each one. The interior of the dorms were exquisite and very clean. The numerous cupboards and wardrobes were very useful for storing... more

I had an amazing stay at Corrib Village, the atmosphere there is g8, whether it's a family trip or a break with your m8s, both times i went i had a g8 time. The self-catering facilities are really ideal and the apartments are spacious and comfortable, this is by far the best place in galway to stay and i'd recommend... more
