Right off Eyre Square this hotel is so convenient to everything. Nice receptionist found me a smoking room well away from the nightclub. Bistro menu in the evening- Good value. Again very pleasant waiter offered to substitute veg or potato for standard option of chips. Nice bar and adjoining coffee shop open in the daytime. Spacious room with plenty of... more

First of all the location is excellant , bang smack in the centre of the city , Breakfast was very good , should leave coffee and tea avaible on couter for refils but great selection . However the hotel experience was ruined by the fact that . 'even though i had requested one of their quieter rooms ' we were... more

Doesn't look fantastic from the outside and the hall and stairs and a liitle outdated. the rooms are modern , clean and very comfortable. the reception staff were friendly and they handled a group of 15 lads very easily. breakfast was buffet but served to you so the bacon was a bit leathery but other that that it was fine.... more

The location is great. The bar and regular bartenders are great. That's the end of the positives and not nearly enough to convince me to go back or recommend this hotel. The staff at reception is aloof and inattentive. The rooms are small and outdated. The noise from the club next door, from the street and from inside the hotel... more

The location of this hotel was great, a half block from Eyre Square. The room was small but clean. The hotel bar was fun and had free internet access (it was not available in the rooms). The biggest complaint we had about the hotel was the noise from the nightclub located behind the hotel. Because the hotel did not have... more

I stayed in the Eyre Square hotel over the bank holiday August weekend. I found the staff extremely courteous, accomodating and could not fault them in any way (unlike it seems other posts on this page..). It is true the accomodation is basic and can be noisy - be it from the pub across the way or the thinness of... more

Great location, comfortable room. Convenient to bus and rail stations and Eyre Square. Pub across the street adds to noise from street. Breakfast good, but staff uneven. Another traveler thought she might have been careless with her money, so be sure to take all precautions. more

It was tough to find a room in Galway with the Galway Arts Festival on so we settled with the Eyre Square Hotel. Although the location was great the bedrooms did not meet the standard. Rooms were very small with a tiny double bed and our room stank of fish (I think we must have been above a fish restaurant).... more

Found the porter to be like a bouncer at a night club. Made me feel like I was being watched for no reason. Staff could do with customer services course. more

This hotel is fine if your on a stag or hen but dont bother otherwise. The room is small and outdated and the walls are paper thin. The noise from the street goes on until around 4a.m. and is really loud. The location is good though but this should really be a 2*hotel. more
