Myself and three friends stayed here recently for 3 nights in two twin rooms. The rooms are slightly dated but very comfortable and so reasonably priced for central Galway! The hotel is literally on Eyre Square so just a few mins walk to shop and quay street. The breakfast was fabulous and had everything and the staff were so nice... More

We spend one night at Eyre square during the arts festival. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was very comfortable, clean and cosier than ordinary hotel rooms. The hotel doesn't have its own car park, but they have deals with car parks close by. The bar looks very cool too, but we were the only... More

Stayed here for one night and was delighted it was only one night. Actually felt like sleeping in the car instead. Paid 119 euro for a twin room. The place is smelly and musty and everything is so old. There was stains on the bed sheets and nothing looked clean. The toilet had stains on and looked like it hadn't... More

Stayed for 2 nights in August- hotel was in a great location but wouldnt return. On 1st day entering room there was a strong smell in the room of drainage pipes. We alerted management who came up to check. We were offered a change of room & reduced rate & given complimentary drinks. If you are going to use it... More

Stayed here for one night, thankgodness. The bathroom was old, crumbling, and not clean. Towels were stinky so we used the hair dryer to dry off instead. The room had outdated and the furniture was beat up. The bed covers were skippy and red bed skirt and cover were nasty and stained. Kept shoes or socks on so we didn't... More

This hotel needs a refurbishment. The foyer looks faded and in need of attention. The rooms are clean and the staff are really helpful. However the bar was good and the location was excellent. The free wifi only worked in the lobby.

The location for Galway could not be bettered. Everything else about the hotel was just a bit below average. Room was not that clean, breakfast was ordinary, service was nothing special, but I had a great time in Galway so I give it an extra star.

The hotel was very central. The room was basic but had all you needed in it. Very clean and towels changed everyday. Breakfast was very good and staff were all lovely and friendly. No problem staying here again. For a central hotel in Galway the price was grand.

Did you ever walk into a hotel and want to walk right back out again?? Christ , this place is just a hostel that just happens to like charging hotel rates. Do yourselves a favour and only stay here if every hostel, homeless shelter and bus shelter is full. It's scandalous that the owners of this place have the nerve to... More
