The service is excellent. But, the rooms are extremely outdated and show tons of wear and tear. They ARE clean. Very clean. But the place needs an overhaul. The TV is a desk top 13 inch TV. It might be one step up from needing rabbit-ears. The bar is decent and the breakfast was good. Not great, but good. Dinner... More

I travelled here with my husband and baby for 3 nights b&b & dinner. Having never been here before, we located this hotel very easily and was very central to the shops, buskers, bars, square, trains & buses etc. There was parking very close for only €6 per day. However, this hotel is in dire need of some TLC. The... More

Very good location for all the bars and restaurants in Galway city. Room was OK in terms of decor, however, very noisy from both the bus station tannoy and the Friday nightlife. I could hear music until 4.30 am. Breakfast was average. Parking is in a public car park very close to the hotel, €6/day.

Stayed in this hotel for three nights. Staff on reception were lovely. Room was very disappointing. To start with there was no wardrobe, just a rail in a cubbyhole. The floor in bathroom got wet every time a shower was had. No matter how careful you were tucking the curtain around at taps. Not sure where water was coming from.... More

You know that sinking feeling when you have committed to paying for a hotel room and the first gimpse is disappointing - well all you have to do is have a look at the exterior of this building (have they never heard of a powerwasher or repainting - especially that grotty sign). Parking was a few minutes walk away but... More

Just enjoyed a two night stay in this nice hotel, Reasonably priced and in a perfect central location with train and bus station a minutes walk away. Loads of bars an restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful as we asked to switch rooms shortly after our arrival as the one allocated to us was... More

Even if you're first time in Galway you don't need a map to find this hotel. It's just off the railway station. My room (double bed) was spacious and comfortable, well equipped with all things that you may need. Only the TV was small and had only a fex chanels. It's a bit noisy but that's the price of the... Eyre Square Hotel is in an excellent location: few steps away from train and bus station and the attractive Eyre Square area with restaurants and bars. Staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent with great variety and freshly cooked. Evening meal was delicious with good variety and reasonable price. Hotel is getting rather dated and shabby,... More
