4 of us stayed in this hotel last week and had a fantastic weekend. The rooms where to the front of the hotel and were very nice. We had dinner in the restaurant on the saturday night. The food was really nice and the service was good. Breakfast the saturday and sunday morning was very busy as we did not... more

I stayed in the Victoria in April this year. It was my fourth stay in the past three years and yet again the staff made me feel very welcome. The bedrooms are large and spacious - very clean with a good supply of towels and toiletries. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. The public areas are large and... more

I have stayed at the Victoria hotel during raceweek for a few years now. The hotel is situated in the heart of Galway which is brilliant for nights out and even though it's very central the prices are quite reasonable. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the rooms spacious. I will keep going back! more

Stayed here for 3nights with a friend and both of us got clothes stolen out of our bags. Then 3 of the 5 missing items amazing turned up 1wk later in their lost property box. The management tried to make out we left them behind but they went missing on the nite we arrived and we didnt unpack them. So... more

What a terrible hotel. Originally booked in for two nights but stayed only one. The awful smell of cigarettes is the first thing that hits you in the corridors and the same awful smell in the room. Asked to change room and we did but this room was only slightly better. The room was shabby and well past it's sell... more

As it was a cheaper place to stay in Galway, it shouldn't be a huge surprise that it was slightly disappointing. We just got back from our trip to Ireland, and we stayed here for 3 nights. The bathrooms were very clean, which was a great surprise! But the rooms themselves are very outdated and the comforters look like they've... more

This is an awful place. The bedrooms and floor landings reek of bleach, suggesting that they're treating mould. The back bedroom windows open onto on a big bus depot where huge tour busses stay idling until 11 pm, then start up again at 6 am. These diesel fumes are dreadful, and the smell rises right into hotel windows. Keeping windows... more

This hotel - just doesn't look very nice at all. I mean for 39 euros, Roughly $55 dollars it's cheap in Ireland. And you get what you pay for. Their hallways and bar look really nice but - the rooms are small. Their website says that they are spacious. But they aren't. Our hotel room was right outside of a... more

Spent two nights here. Terrific location, just off the square. Rooms were clean but did have some minor wear and tear to them, with small TVs. The thin mattress made the bed less comfortable than it could have been. The staff was very helpful and nice throughout the stay, but they seemed to be in transition or understaffed, as sometimes... more
