I loved this hostel!! The beds were so damn cozy, comfy and warm, with THICK blankets, which is rare in hostels to be sure and most nice hotels even. Very quiet at night due to multiple floors. Insanely convenient location to nightlife. Incredibly efficient, helpful staff who can tell you where the traditional live music will be. Felt very safe.... more

Kinlay House was so conviniently located that I missed it upon walking out of Galway Train Station. It's so close to Eyre Sq and a range of other pubs too. The elevator has its moments and the stairs are a little steep for someone like me (with a dodgy right knee), but even more fun after a night on the... more

Close to everything. Great breakfast. Helpful staff. Place to store your luggage at the front desk. International travelers. Games, kitchen, fireplace, internet, warm water, a great bargain. 1 block from the hostel you are in the heart of the active nightlife. There is no place to park your car, but there is no parking overnight from 6:30 pm to 8:30... more

I can't really say anything "that" bad about the Kinlay House itself. This was my first, and one of my last, hostel experiences. First off, the hostel is in a great central location, a mere five minute walk from the bus depot. I booked a double room for myself, since I refuse to sleep in a dorm-like setting with strangers.... more

I stayed at Kinlay House for one night as part of a Paddywagon tour. The hostel was lovely - very clean, good sized rooms and nice facilities. The breakfast was actually yummy, which was a rarity on the tour. The only small quibble we had was the fact that several of us got burnt by the girls' showers, but the... more

Spent 1 night in a double room with private bath for 32 euro a person. Room was sparse and clean. Hostel front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was toast, cereal and juice. I would have liked some sort of fruit. Also, their toasters only toasted 1 side of the bread. With more research I bet I... more

We stayed there for one night, and it was perfect. The fact that there were only two of us in an 8 bed room helped, but it was extremely clean, friendly, plenty of space, big bathrooms, quiet - I loved it! Close to bus station and tour pickup spots. more

Four of us stayed here around Christmas. We were put into a 6 person room. The room had 3 sets of bunk beds, all with their own light and light switch. The hostel was clean, and had a better breakfast than most. My only complaint is the heat, which was broken. We thought we couldn't figure out how to turn... more

Booked two nights at this hostel. The common room was large and very comfortable, with plenty of tables and couches, and had lots of character with murals on the walls and painted windows. The rooms themselves weren´t bad. It was just my friend and I, and we stayed in a room for 6. The room was clean enough, but was... more

My friends and I took a road trip around Ireland and Galway was our 2nd stop. I fell in love with the quaint city and it helped that we had a nice place to come home to each night. The hostel's reception is located on the 2nd floor - the Lally Tours offices are on the first floor. You'll see... more
