Had a relaxing night in this wonderful hotel. Really loved it. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Thought the area was lovely, I really enjoyed my stay here. Used the pool and really liked it. I read a review about there not being a lift, I used the lift... Maybe it just wasn't found... Only problem I had was I... More

Was there with a tour --emailed hotel before not to use an fragrances in the room on linens et al.--they were very responsive, in fact the room was perfect. However, I had a long hallway to walk through and they used freshener in the hallways. This was awful... It's a lovely hotel with lovely grounds and delicious food in the... More

I really don't get the disappointment from some people on trip advisor ! I really had a lovely time with my boyfriend in this place. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived. The receptionist took care of us perfectly. We went to the bar when we was waiting and again the staff was friendly and efficient. We finally decided to... More

An older hotel well updated. Very pleasant lobby, beautiful grounds, nicely presented dining. Well appointed room (225) over looking the dumpsters. Why average ? Postage stamp size shower, even smaller shower door, pillows that will work well as sandbags during the next flood, and a broken lift that has apparently dead for some time. My kids monitor is bigger than... More

Stayed overnight while visiting Galway. The hotel seems to be living on its past reputation. The decor in rooms and corridors was dated and needed refreshing the lift wasn't working for the whole time we were there and the reception staff were efficient but hardly welcoming it was all very impersonal. There was a queue for breakfast in a dining... More

Stayed here for one night in the month of July and found this hotel to be shabby and uncomfortable. The decor of the hotel was made up of old and stained carpets, old and cracked walls, just an awful sight in my opinion. The rooms were old also and need an upgrade badly as they have old tv sets and... More

We stayed here as a family with adjoining rooms and room were really spacious. The beds were a bit hard and could do with mattress topper. The food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing but the staff were lovely. Really useful location as you are equidistant from city centre and seafront.

Stayed for family wedding in August. Always a beautiful hotel to stay in. Room had a double and single bed. Was compact and old style but very clean and comfortable. Dinner at the wedding was exceptionally good as was breakfast which was delivered to the room. Staff very helpful and friendly. Will stay again.

Went there this weekend with my parents to help celebrate there wedding anniversary, not a pleasant experience, woken at night due to people running up and down the corridor, evening meal was such a let down and this staff are so rude overall this hotel needs a major face lift and staff need to be re-trained.
