It's not the easiest place to find, but St. Martin's is absolutely worth it! We drove around for quite a while and began to feel we'd never find the place, but the locals are more than happy to give directions and getting a little bit lost is part of the fun of traveling. Once you do find it, St. Martin's... more

I've noticed this B&B everytime I've walked over O'Brien bridge in Galway - the lush green backyard, lined with flower beds, sits right against the River Corrib, a spot of tranquility in the City Centre. I finally had the opportunity to stay there this month, and it was the nicest B&B experience I've ever had. Mary greeted me with a... more

What a fantastic place to stay. As soon as we were in the door Mary had offered us a nice strong cup of tea and lovely irish soda bread. We were sooo close to the centre of town we could pop back easily to drop off the shopping bags before going to get more!! We had a room with 3... more

Mary is such a warm and friendly hostest which is really what makes her B&B such a pleasure to stay in! She reminded me of my Irish grandmother who was always looking after us - asking if we needed anything to eat, making sure we were comfortable, etc. We felt like the only guests at her place with the great... more

I stayed at this bed an breakfast for 2 nights in July. It was a really nice stay. We stayed in a room with two beds. The room and bathroom were a bit tight but that was no problem for us. The house is very close to the tourist area of Galway. The road has parking but you have to... more

St. Martins is an absolute pleasure to stay in. The rooms were spotlessly clean and had just a wonderful smell - not sure how she does it. Ours was a little on the tiny side but perfectly ok. Mary, the hostess, is wonderful - breakfasts are a joy as she is very helpful in telling you where to go and... more

We were traveling with our daughter and son-in-law. Mary greeted us warmly and offered a most welcome and hearty tea. The garden view from the dining room was lovely. The rooms were nice and not noisy even though the B & B is very central. A wonderful Irish breakfast was served in the morning. We all wished we had scheduled... more

Mary was one of the most gracious and welcoming hosts I've ever had.My friends and I stayed with her for 3 days and she treated us like her sons. She shared some of the best sights and pubs in the area and our time in Galway was unforgettable because of her. Make sure you bring Tubs a biscuit! more

My friend and I came to St. Martins for a quick weekend away from Dublin. We loved it so much that upon leaving, we looked at each other and walked back to see if there was availability for the next weekend. Mary is such a gracious host, going above and beyond. She welcomes you every day with fresh tea, homemade... more

Fodors and Frommers do not rate this B&B and I would not have found it without the help of a friend in a chat room. What a delight! Location could not be beat - 2 minutes to the town, if that - but far enough away so there's no town noise (perfectly quiet, in fact). Mary is the best. Warm,... more
