Great room, location and the hospitality is so good that we stayed an extra night. We enjoyed the breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and bacon drizzled in honey. Tea and coffee in the afternoon and after spending a day at the windy and cold Aran island a hot water bottle was waiting for us in bed.

A friend and I visited Galway in January 2014 and stayed at St. Martin's Bed and Breakfast for one night. The host was very friendly and greeted us with tea and toast. Our room was perfect, and the breakfast room overlooks a wonderful garden (great bird-watching!). And the full Irish breakfast was top-notch. The B&B is walking distance from "downtown... More

I'm very glad Lonely Planet recommends St. Martin's, because that's how we discovered this comfortable little place. Mary and her husband are very kind and welcoming. We just showed up without a reservation (In January - I wouldn't recommend this is the busy season) and they had a cute, clean room ready for us. The room wasn't huge, but I... More

We did not have reservations and needed two rooms for 3 of us for one night, and didn't get there until 5pm. What a wonderful surprise it was to meet Mary! She was so wonderful to us, I had my twin daughters with me for their 30th birthday. We had such a great experience we stayed two nights. I can't... More

Mary and her husband do a very good job. On arrival, we were treated to a cup of tea/coffee and wheaten bread, and she took out the Lonely Planet's guide to Ireland and opened it on the Galway pages for us, and gave us plenty of local knowledge. Where else would they do that for you? The rooms and beds... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at St. Martins in late May. We didnt have reservations but she had room for us. Mary was the most gracious host. Rooms were comfortable and a good price. Parking is a little tricky but the B&B is in the perfect locations to stroll into town. Overall lovely place.

Mary's place was incredible! She was so sweet and accommodating. Her breakfast served every morning was the perfect way to start our day. The location of her B&B was perfect as well. Being situated across the bridge from the touristy busy part of town, but just a stone throw away form all the activity. The room my boyfriend and I... More

I found the listing for the B&B in one of the travel books while still in Dublin. On the way to Galway, we called and Mary was lovely and accommodating. We booked two rooms for four of us and we all loved the place and Mary's help and suggestions. We ended up staying an extra night because we felt so... More

My partner and I stayed at St Martin's B&B for two nights. After navigating the narrow streets we found Mary's place and were welcomed heartily by Mary who offered us a cup of tea and some lovely homemade treats. It was a great way to start what was a lovely stay in a gorgeous little place. Our room was small... More

We were so glad to find Mary Sexton's place. Small room but very comfy. Really comfy bed with lovely white sheets and good shower. Overlooked back garden which is full of flowers and birds. Within a few minutes walk to the town centre. Breakfasts were one of the best we'd had on our driving trip through Ireland, served in the... More
