Our stay was amazing at St. Martin's B&B. We arrived one day early, and we called to check if we could come anyhow. Mary, the owner and wonderful host, went out of her way to accomodate us. The rooms are great; large, confortable beds, dressers, small tv, alarm clock, hairdryer and a full bathroom with a nice shower (with enough... more

This was my first trip to Ireland and I doubt I could have chosen a better B&B in Galway. Mary, her husband and their dogs were more than welcoming and full of helpful tips about the area. Tubbs and Millie were adorable and very fun to play with in the morning. Our room was very clean and cozy with a... more

My three friends and I visited Galway and had the pleasure of staying at St. Martin's. Mary and Tubbs (Mary's dogged, named as such because "he is just SO fat!") greated us warmly and showed us to our family-style room. The room was very welcoming, though a bit small for four adults. Nonetheless, the comfortable beds, cute decorations, and delicious... more

St. Martin's was gorgeous from the moment I saw it. It's a beautiful older building covered with flowers and plants, right on the river, with a fantastic waterfall right outside the window. The location is perfect - a block away from the heart of town. And our host Mary was so sweet! Spend some time talking with her and playing... more

This B&B is conveniently located right across the river from the center of town--you can't beat that. The garden facing the river is lovely, and the hostess is friendly and welcoming. Our room was located on the first floor, and was fairly dark--it was clean and fairly comfortable, but we prefer a bit brighter and upscale rooms, personally. However, the... more

St. Martins is locates just over the O'Brien bridge from High Street, which is where most of the bars and restaurants are. It's only about a 10-15 minute walk from Eire square where theres a lot of shopping and buses for day trips to the Aran Islands and Connmeara leave from. The place itself was very comfortable with one of... more

We arrived at St. Martin's after a long overseas flight and a cross country drive from Dublin. Mary greeted us with scones, tea and a huge smile. She let us get settled and then gave us a tour of her garden which overlooks the river. Tubbs (Chubbs) the dog is just as welcoming as Mary. The room was clean, the... more

Best of for irish hospitality. Mary, tubbs and the river view are unparalleled. Rooms are simple and small, but you can't pick a better location in Galway. Book in advance, righ next to the water on Bridge Street. The breakfast is enough for 3 people, so you'll save $ on lunch. more

It's not the easiest place to find, but St. Martin's is absolutely worth it! We drove around for quite a while and began to feel we'd never find the place, but the locals are more than happy to give directions and getting a little bit lost is part of the fun of traveling. Once you do find it, St. Martin's... more

I've noticed this B&B everytime I've walked over O'Brien bridge in Galway - the lush green backyard, lined with flower beds, sits right against the River Corrib, a spot of tranquility in the City Centre. I finally had the opportunity to stay there this month, and it was the nicest B&B experience I've ever had. Mary greeted me with a... more
