Affordable, spotless ,comfy beds and good breakfast. Mary is a wonderful hostess .She is pleasant and accommodating. The B&B is very close to town. Parking is across the street as well. I will definitely come back! I highly recommend this place! Kathie Hurley

Mary and Donny are not that young anymore but they are great people. So if you are a difficult person or your expectations are too high go somewhere else because they deserve better than you! Price/quality is just perfect. They welcome you with a cup of tea and you'll feel at home on the spot. Breakfast is mmm and served... More

Very close to the town centre. The hosts were very hospitable, always had a hot water bottle under the duvet for us. Always happy to give tips on where to go or what to do. Breakfast was wonderful. Hadn't had a chance to make a trip to Aran Island during our visit. Will definitely make that trip one day and... More

What can I say about Mary, the loveliest of hostesses in Galway and a lady who made us English folk feel very welcome. Arriving in Galway without a reservation we stumbled across St Martins just over the river and a stones throw away from the hustle and bustle of town but far enough away to have a quiet nights sleep.... We were only planning to stay one night and check out Galway in one day but enjoyed the location and our host that we stayed two nights. Our room looked out over the garden and the river and were minutes walk from the downtown restaurants and activities. Our room had two beds in it and was typical for the Irish... More

We drove to Galway and found ourselves looking for a B&B for the night. Luckily we had our Lonely Planet guide and one of their recommended stays was at St Martin's B&B. Specifically Mary will take care of you and she did! She welcomed us in and offered tea (which was delicious) and was a wonderful host introducing us to... More

Went to check room availability for the night but the hostess was unpleasant. The room was small and overpriced, and with the welcoming warning we got " are you here just to ask questions?" We have decided we would rather spend our money elsewhere. She might have had a bad day, who knows, but it's no way to greet your... More

My girlfriend and I stayed on Monday night. Mary and her husband are lovely hosts and we were treated to a huge pot of tea and loads of bread and biscuits in the back garden when we arrived. There's a carpark at the Cathedral literally a two minute walk away where you can park up all day for only €4... More

Great room, location and the hospitality is so good that we stayed an extra night. We enjoyed the breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice and bacon drizzled in honey. Tea and coffee in the afternoon and after spending a day at the windy and cold Aran island a hot water bottle was waiting for us in bed.

A friend and I visited Galway in January 2014 and stayed at St. Martin's Bed and Breakfast for one night. The host was very friendly and greeted us with tea and toast. Our room was perfect, and the breakfast room overlooks a wonderful garden (great bird-watching!). And the full Irish breakfast was top-notch. The B&B is walking distance from "downtown... More
