I really don't know what to make of some of the recent negative reviews. My brother and I have stayed in a lot of B&B's and we LOVED this place. Unless you're a "five-star hotel" type, I expect you will find it equally delightful. 1. Location, location, location. St. Martin's B&B is situated on a quiet lane just steps away... More

We picked St Martins as we saw how close to the city centre it was by map. This was important to us, as we were not comfortable driving on the roads since we are used to driving on the right side of the road. Being so close to the city was great since we are keen on discovering the environments... More

We stayed at the St Martin's for one night during our trip to Ireland. The location and surrounding of the place are just awesome! You can't beat them! The landlady really is a character and we found her charming : she really tried to make ourselves feel at home and we had the most wonderful time at breakfast. The only... More

My husband and I don't understand how anyone could rate this place as anything other then horrible and disappointing. First of all the picture she has posted is very misleading. It gives the impression that this is the entrance, when in fact this is the back garden that you have to go through the house to get to and it... More

This is the first review I have ever given of a place I have not actually stayed in...but this is also the first time the owner of a hotel/B&B has hung up on me mid conversation! I have been planning a trip to Galway with my parents, who are not familiar with the area and I asked if Mary had... More

Always admired from across the bridge and now we got to stay in it. Could not think of anything to better it. The comments are saying it all. Enjoyed it immensely. Miss the dogs though! More

Proprietor Mary Sexton really helps put St. Martin's over the top. She is warm and welcoming, and very helpful in orienting your Galway visit. Of course the location is not bad either. St. Martin's is right on the river, just a block or so from the center of town -- near music, food and the sweet streets and alley ways... More

As we approached the place on foot, we saw a sign in the back yard. Mistaking it for one that we had called and that had no availability, my daughter said "I wish that was our B and B." And it was a wish come true. Mary was marvelous in all of the ways others have mentioned; kind, concerned, funny,... More

Our stay at St. Martins' was one of the highlights of our trip. Mary and her two precious little dogs made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped over the threshold. She offered us a beautiful tea in the garden where we could unwind from our long drive. And in the morning served a delicious breakfast in one of... More

My husband and I stayed in Galway at St. Martin's B&B for two nights on July 17-18th. Mary is one of the nicest people we have ever met. She was extremely helpful and informative. We both felt like we were visiting a distant aunt. She was able to give us advice on parking, dinner, night life and places in the... More
