Stayed here for stag weekend. Price was expensive when three squashed into to tiny room in attic with no breakfast included. One of the beds in room was broken, bathroom very worn. Location is brilliant just over the bridge at end of Shop Street but wouldn't recommend unless away with group of lads and Jury's Inn booked out. For God... More

We stayed here because we hadn't booked a room before arriving in Galway. Probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Wasn't looking for luxury, but for 100 Euros a night was expecting something a more. There was a used soap still in the shower from the previous guest.

I drove across Ireland yesterday and by the time I parked the car really needed to use the restroom. The Galway Arms Inn was the first public house I came across so went in there. When I came out I was verbally abused and swore at by a staff member (possibly the owner) whose major crux was I didn't ask... More

I was surprised that there was no parking whatsoever. We had to wait twenty minutes for a car to leave the public car park beyond the gardai station. Parking fees over the top. Got to the top floor and settled into a room similar to a poor hostel and very warm. Slept on and off until half five when the... More

This place is a dirty filthy kip in a great location. The carpets were dirty, the pillow cases were stained, the towels were stained and the bathroom was sick!!! The room was cold. The broken electric heater only works sometimes. I felt like my skin was crawling in this dump. I have uploaded some pics I took in this place.... More

Stayed one night last summer purely because it was in a convenient location and cheap at €40 room only. I wasn't expecting much. Well, I got what I expected and in hindsight probably could have booked into a nice hostel for less money and a better room. That said it served its purpose and would have used it again if... More

If you like things fancy than do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here. However, if you're on a budget, aren't too bothered and are quite easy going then this is the place. Location is perfect, right in the middle of everything; the staff and owners are very lovely and helpful, the rooms have everything you might need -... More
