What a stay my three friends and I had in the Holiday Hotel. Pauline at reception greeted us with a smile and went to extremes to make us feel at home and made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was lovely, looking out at the beach and ocean. Very clean and spacious room with good warm showers. I... More

Stayed for 2 nights in the holiday hotel. Would definitely stay again. Rooms very warm even though it was cold and wet outside.the lady on the desk didn't get her name was absolutely fantastic, she couldn't do enough for us, showed us our room, and anytime we met her there was absolutely no hesitation to assist us in any way... we loved this place. 6 in our family, got two rooms for a very reasonable price. Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, great night sleep, didn't want to get up but, got up anyway at 7:30 to go across the road to the seashore and took some lovely photos. The place is spotless and Pauline at reception is very... More

Hotel definitely isn't five star but also doesn't claim to be. It's a modest hotel with a nice bar on the Salthill Promenade. Cheap and cheerful In a cold February. We had our four week old little girl with us who was settled absolutely fine. The temperature of the hotel was perfect and the room was basic but very clean... More

We were staying 2 nights here but ended up staying 3. Older Irish hotel with charm and really nice rooms with ensuite. It was what we were after from the start of our trip instead of the over priced chains. There is no lift but once you are in was not an issue for us. We had room 9 which... More

Would recommend The Office ( bar of this hotel) as I visited there twice recently. Friendly staff, clean and right on promenade. Definitely recommend for a cosy pint or two if you're passing. I did not stay overnight but if the bar was anything to go by I'm sure you'll do ok

Love this place. Very friendly and relaxed. I was looking for some where inexpensive and convenient, so i tried the holiday hotel. Left my wallet in the downstairs bar and they returned it to me following day complete with cash. They couldn't have been friendlier. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great value. Close to salthill seafront, cafes, pubs and walkable... More

We love this place! The location is excellent--right near the beautiful bay, a short walk into the main city, Oslo Bar across the street (as well as a Centra and pharmacy). Peter was helpful and very friendly. He gave us many tips about places to go and things to do in and around Galway. (we spent 3 days). Though complimentary... More
