We love this place! The location is excellent--right near the beautiful bay, a short walk into the main city, Oslo Bar across the street (as well as a Centra and pharmacy). Peter was helpful and very friendly. He gave us many tips about places to go and things to do in and around Galway. (we spent 3 days). Though complimentary... More

From once we entered the hotel Peter the owner was rude, unfriendly and hostile with us. over expensive for the quality of the place and breakfast was not included. No tea or coffee facilitys. Couldn't open the bathroom door fully kept hitting off the bed. Had people banging on our door trying to get into our room at around 4am.... More

A group of 9 of us stayed here on Paddy's weekend. Having come from a larger hotel on the other side of the city, the stark difference I noticed was the friendly smile that greeted us and the warm welcome of Peter who genuinely cared about ensuring we had a great stay. Nothing was too much trouble and the location... More

my wife and I arrived in Galway without a room, on a Friday afternoon, on Arthur Guinness' Day. We wanted a place close to town but not in it, within walking distance to downtown, close tor restaurants, pubs, reasonably priced with a little character - we found that here. The room was good, no issues there, Galway city is about... More

Four of stayed for two nights in August. when we arrived we had to wait about twenty minutes for the owner,Peter to appear. We only discovered then that they did,nt serve breakfast , he said callers were always advised of this when booking.I was NOT or Iwould not have booked! Myself and 3 friends booked 2 rooms for one night in this hotel. Unfortunately, due to one of our party being taken ill, we had to urgently cancel our reservation 36 hours prior to our check-in time. Having made the initial booking through Booking.com, I immediately contacted them to cancel. Although we were several hours outside the '48 hour cancellation... More

Great location, that is the only good point about that "Hotel"! No breakfast facilities! No tea and coffee facility! Small rooms and full of dust for 100 euro pppn massive joke. Owners r very much in your face all the time in great need of checking whats going on in Your room. Will not stay again for sure.

There is very little to recommend about the Holiday Hotel located in Salt hill Galway City besides its fabulous location. Fabulous that is if you dont mind the run down and old fashioned nature of Salt Hill itself. The hotel is situated literally one minutes walk from the sea and close to a sea front parking area. The hotel itself... More

My husband I recently stayed here for a quick night in Galway. We chose this place at random, but we were very happy with it. The location is Salthill, right off the beach. Plenty to do in the neighborhood and downtown Galway is about a 25 minute walk or a short cab ride away. Ireland is currently experiencing record breaking... More

This hotel does not have an onsite restaurant nor an elevator. For the price they charge for a room, you would expect more. The room was very dated, sparse, and cramped. The bathroom door did not fully open before it hit the bed. I would not recommend this hotel unless yu want a hostel experience.
