It's not my habit to publish negative reviews but sometimes you have to... Let's start with positive points: - nice manager - good location in the city - low price That's it. What do I need to mention first? Rubbish under the beds? Mixed transparent showers, perfect for privacy? Dirty stairs carpets? Tobacco smells in the premises? Oh and if... More

Prices were cheap (13 euros not too shabby) and there was free breakfast (coffee and toast). Also the location is great. There's places to go out within 5 minutes walking distance. All in all a fun time and a recommendation to anyone who is spending some time in Galway.

I followed the signs to reception and it was this man with a notepad! He was the most happy, colorful well travelled Irishman I have ever met, happy and perfectly charming. The facilities were great, the wifi was amazing, and the kitchen had a spice rack! Nor to mention the place was clean and had the most homey atmosphere! I... More

A real dive Stayed one night with a group of friends on a jaunt to Galway. It was left to short notice to book somewhere a some brain surgeon picked here! We arrived mid afternoon after a 250mile drive, as soon as we walked to the front door there was a strong smell of piss. Then discovered our group of... More

Stayed in then10 bed room which was such a tight squeeze. No curtain on the window, had to leave the windows open due to the stifling heat generated by 10 people, hard to sleep through all the noise outside. The bathrooms were an experience, hard not to get very intimate with fellow hostellers. Seen a lot through the frosted glass... More

This hostel is a disheveled, smelly, dirty hole of a place with at least one incredibly rude member of staff. I arrived early to leave my bags and change before an event, the staff member I spoke to was like an angry headless chicken, spitting words at me rather than assisting in anyway shape or form and later when I... The outside of the building is dirty and the paint is falling off and the inside matches this - the stairwell and hall areas are filthy and full of rubbish, with cobwebs, dust, worn carpet and general dirt everywhere. The common area is very basic with very few facilities. The security is quite lax with people coming and going a... More

Claxons, people around, yells, doors squeeking... Didn't sleep till 6 am, when everything calmed down a bit. Very centered place but also very dirty. If your an 18 wanting all night people and party, this is your place. If you want sleep, better choose another one.

Well, I must note that I never actually stayed the night here - I had made a booking at hostelbookers.com because I was worried that all the hostels would fill up for the weekend. I didn't stay at this hostel because it was very unclean and dirty, moth balls and dust everywhere. It did not feel comfortable there at all.... More

Floors and stairs were hoovered every day by Jimmy and were immaculate! Really cant stress enough how clean he kept these. There was loose wood which you could take as much as you wanted. Lost friend in hostel, jimmy helped us locate him, luckily all the doors of every room are open so no need to knock. Located beside a... More
