This was the first B&B I've stayed in and I was not disappointed. The room was very spacious and had amenities such as a TV, coffee maker, and hair dryer. The owner was very friendly and helpful with our questions about things to do in Galway, and there are even pamphlets in the room for tourists. The location is just... More

Woodhaven Lodge was our first experience in a B&B. Due to the fact that it is a modern house in a development and located on a main road, we were initially disappointed because we were hoping for the 'charm' of an old Irish home. Bridie's warm welcome and hospitality more than made up for it and we had a very... More

We had a bit of difficulty finding Merlin Park; got a bit confused by road signs, but luckily eventually found it. We had booked a different B&B in the same area, but which actually did not have availability, so were recommended to Woodhaven Lodge. We were a little concerned, but needn't have worried. Bridie who welcomed us was friendly, relaxed... More

My wife and I stayed here one night as we traveled through Ireland on our Honeymoon in May. The Woodhaven Lodge was furnished with modern décor; utilities, furniture and accessories (TV, coffee maker) worked like new. We were warmly greeted by Bridie upon arrival and she provided excellent recommendations for us to best enjoy a night in Galway City. She... More

We recently stayed at the Woodhaven Lodge on a family trip to Ireland. We found the location of Woodhaven Lodge to be very convenient to downtown Galway and to have very comfortable, clean accomodations. Most importantly, we were welcomed by our hosts with the traditional Irish hospitality. We spent time with the family and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast... More

Great hospitality and rooms. Very new and updated. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the traditional feel of the b&b that I remember from when I was a kid- ie. talking with family etc. would highly recommend and stay there again!

I felt really comfortable staying here. It was a pleasure to be a part of this family's household for a few days. Bridie provided a wonderful freshly cooked breakfast each morning and booked my tours for me in the evening. If you're someone who is unaccustomed to the cold, you will appreciate that this place was always heated at just... More

The hosts, Bridie and Joe, are very friendly and helpful. The B & B is well situated having a bus stop right across the street which means you can leave your car at the B & B when you explore the city. The upstairs rooms we were given were clean and nicely decorated but space was limited & the en-suite... More

Bridie and Joe are great hosts and we felt very welcome. Our room was comfortable and very nicely decorated. A delicious breakfast was served each morning, as we stayed for a week I was able to sample most of the menu, the pancakes are great! There is a bus stop right across the road so you can leave the car and... More

Reasonably easy to find.Very clean. We were given a downstairs room while this was very convenient it was right next to t paved garden area which seemed to have a front door looking straigt into the room so the curtains had to be kept closed for privacy (no nets ) . The shower was small but very clean. Tea and... More
