Wonderful B&B run by Helena nice cozy room, beautiful polished wooden floors throughout , approx. 10 minutes walk to city center. Very clean....everything you would expect ..good value.....great breakfast, kept us going well past lunchtime. Lots to do around the Galway area. Clochard was the perfect spot for us! more

Pat and Helena have a lovely little flower-bedecked town house in a small, secluded, walled area just off a minor road just outside the centre of Galway city. You can reach the city centre in about 10 minutes or so by walking down a road leading past some school playing fields and crossing a river and a canal further down.... more

While we never actually stayed at Clochard, I want to WARN everyone about doing business with them. We were booked in Killarney prior to our visit to Galway and we had the horrendous experience of being bitten with BED BUGS! We immediately went to a hotel.
