Margaret gave us an extremely warm welcome, and shortly after we arrived we left our bags in the room and walked into town. After a very pleasant walk of about 15 minutes along the promenade, we then had a wonderful day in Galway. Lawndale is in an enviable position, overlooking Galway Bay and such a short walk into town, it... More

My boyfriend and I stayed there for three nights recently. Margaret was a very warm hostess who always made sure we had enough to eat for breakfast. She served a traditional Irish breakfast each morning, which we looked forward to. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great! It was right across from the boardwalk. We walked along... More

Lawndale B&B is wonderful. Six of us stayed this visit. Margaret is a lovely hostess and very knowledgeable about Galway and the surrounding area and always makes us feel very welcomed. The rooms are spotless and two front rooms overlook Galway Bay and the Prom. A traditional Irish breakfast is served along with fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. It is an... More

Easy walk to Galway Towne Center shops, pubs and restaurants. The room was very small and very clean. Margaret is very helpful in helping plan out a day around town. The walls are thin at all B&B's and this place is no diffferent.

My daughter and I spent 2 nights at Lawndale in May. The rooms were comfortable and Margaret was very nice and helpful and recommended a great place to eat in Salthill. Breakfast was great. Thanks, Margaret. Vivien and Samantha Ontario, Canada

I corresponded directly with our hostess Margaret prior to my arrival to Ireland on vacation with my 26 year old son. We arrived in Shannon at 6AM and knew we had many hours before we could check in. Since our room was unoccupied the night before, Maragaret was kind enough to let my son and I to check in at... More

We arrived in Galway (salthill) in the rain and stopped for a coffee at Aribica (great place). The waited suggested the area nearby and we stopped at the B&B sign. We were immediately welcomed by Margaret and shown to a nice room at the top of the stairs. Older house modernized with new plumbing in each room. Overlooked the garden... More

Margaret was a welcoming hostess available to respond to all our queries. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was plentiful and the B and B idealy located just along the Salthill beach and not more than 10 minutes walk from Galway centre town. I recommend this place without any hesitation.

Margaret was a delightful hostess and a perfect introduction to B&B'ing in Ireland. We stayed there two nights and she was a font of information about Galway, Ireland, customs, driving, etc. We had a beautiful room overlooking the bay and wonderful breakfasts each morning. The house is located about 15 minutes from the city center so there is no need... More

We stayed two nights and really enjoyed the experience. Margaret was welcoming, informative, a great cook and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower was clean and had plenty of hot water. It is smallish (I understand they all are in Europe!) and the shower unit is hand-held, but good water flow. Breakfast was hot, filling... More
