Wanted a quiet place to sleep at night, but close to Dublin. This old, Georgian row house was perfect. Our room faced a quiet residential street uphill from the business part of town. Mary was a great hostess who makes yummy French toast. The room's door lock was kind of tricky, and I worried about disturbing other lodgers.

We chose Lynden because of its location. We were so pleased-close to the DART, good restaurants and the beautiful water front. Maria and Steven provided clean and quiet rooms at a very reasonable cost as well as helping us with taxi and luggage service. Breakfast was adequate with many choices.

Lynden B&B has a really terrific location. A 750-meter walk to the light rail DART station to Dublin and beyond. A 900-meter walk to the harbor with seaside green space and promenades. Within that radius is the National Maritime Museum, and the Roya Marine Hotel offers fine dining. Also, there's a fish & chips shop and several older, urban pubs.... More

Maria and Steve are very gracious hosts, and Lynden B&B in Dun Laoghaire is a very convenient place to stay when visiting Dublin and surrounding area. Stayed previously in 2013, and would definitely recommend this B&B. Room comfortable and delicious breakfast.

The hosts here were very welcoming and accommodating and our en suite room was spotless and very nice! The location is perfect within easy walking distance into town and to the DART. The best part was the breakfasts. Maria will have a full table spread out for you - fruits, yoghurts, breads, juices. She will also offer a cereal course... More

We arrived at Lynden unannounced well before our check-in time, simply hoping to park our car and head into city centre for the afternoon. Our room wasn't ready (and we hadn't expected it to be), but the owners immediately went into overdrive to have it ready for us within minutes, despite our protestations that we didn't mind waiting until that... I phone to book in here 5 days before my arrival and wanted to book in for 5 nights a week for 4 consecutive weeks whilst there for work.I was told i was only allowed book for 1 week to see if Maria "liked me" as a guest (moderately understandable). When I went to settle up for the first week... More

We spent two nights at this warm, comfortable B&B. Maria and Steve welcomed us with helpful directions. Our rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was generous, with a beautiful selection of cheeses, cereals, and breads, as well as the full Irish breakfast. The price for our rooms (single and double) were reasonable. It was a great start to our Ireland... More

My wife and I arrived a little early and actually while breakfast was being served. Why, well it's Ireland and quite relaxed plus we'd travelled overnight so were there a little early. Nonetheless Maria most graciously met us and served us tea and Dundee cake in a charming sitting room. She also did likewise, different snack, later while we were... More

We stayed for two nights. The rooms are good size and good breakfast. Maria is very friendly and helpful. Close to the town of Dun Laoghaire. We had a problem with our shower to we had to use the shared shower. Maria felt bad about the experience and made an adjusment to our final bill.
