We stayed here for two nights. I was not inpressed with this hotel. Four star it is not. Staff at reception were not overly friendly especially when we asked for a smoking room...........frowned upon. Rooms was very small and bathroom very very pokey. This hotel is good value for money. Clean, comfortable but with no frills. Ideal for 1 night if you are passing through on business or attending a local event. Check in was efficient, breakfast was basic but tasty. Room was reasonably big and airy. I would stay there again on business but wouldn't be planning on taking a weekend break... more

We were with a group of 48 who were in town as a choir singing in Dublin. The front desk staff was friendly through out the 3 nights we stayed. Spent two nights in this hotel, it was a rugby weekend and a good atmosphere around. Ate in the bar the first evening and had a meal in the restaurant on the second, the food was top notch, very tasty and well presented. Evening waiting staff were excellent. My Mother and Aunt stayed at the above hotel last Tue 22/04/08. They are both very elderly and were staying for just two nights. My sister had booked and given her credit card as guarantee. We enjoyed our stay at the Rochestown. The room was comfortable and very clean. It had all the usual amenities - hairdryer, coffee/tea, trouser press, iron, TV.
