I stayed 2 nights in the Ferry House and didn't encounter any issues there. Location is great with access to George Street, where you'll have a good choice of cafés/restaurants. The room was clean with a good size bed, space and even wifi connection. Pauline cooked a great substential Irish breakfast and was very helpful (for example, she booked a... More

We were disappointed that we were given a room with twin beds. Understandably someone showed up for a room while we were booking on-line. Pauline was extremely helpful, though and even paid our first day's parking as we hadn't any euros when we arrived. Eamon was a great host in Pauline's absence. Location is fabulous. We took the DART into... More

We stayed at the Ferry House B&B the last 3 nights of 3 1/2 weeks in Ireland, all spent in B&Bs throughout the country. The Ferry House was as good as or better than any of those we stayed in. Pauline, Eamon and Ronan were the perfect hosts, and treated us as though we were family. It is convenient, clean... More

The Ferry House is a delightful B&B in Dun Laoghaire with very convenient access to Dublin by DART rail. The beach is nearby and the town itself is a pleasant change from the hustle and bustle of larger cities. The rooms are very clean and charmingly appointed. Pauline and her family are wonderful hosts, helping out in every way possible... More

The Ferry House B&B is in a great location in Dún Laoghaire (just south of Dublin), just off a DART station and within walking distance of the Dún Laoghaire habour and ferry port. The owners are quite nice, but on our last day there had the unfortunate experience of no one showing up to prepare breakfast! It was cold cereal... More

Ferry House is about 2 blocks from the ocean and a 5-minute walk from the DART station, where you can catch a train to Dublin. It's also near two parks. Our room was spacious and sunny. Parking is plentiful in the lot across the street by the public tennis courts, but unfortunately costs 6 Euros per day. Pauline is a... More

Ferry House is outstanding in every way. I've stayed here many times and wouldn't think of going anyplace else. More than the great breakfasts, great location and comfortable rooms, Ferry House is about Pauline and Eamon Teehan. They welcome all of their guests as if they were members of their family and go the extra mile to meet the needs... More

Picked up our car at the airport and headed down the M50 to Dun Laoghaire. Our host was waiting for us, got us settled in to our comfortable room within sight of the ocean. It's all about location: quick walk to the pier for a view of the yacht club and the sailboat filled ocean. Then to the train station... More

As i said before we would be back, and we were. Is there many places where the owners would give up their own room so that a guest would not be dissappointed? well The ferry House is one, they gave their room up for my Mother on a recent visit, really first class service once again well done! More

On a recommendation from a travel book my teenage daughter and I made our only reservation for our entire Ireland adventure; we were so happy that we followed Rick Steves' advice! The Ferry House B & B, in quaint Dun Laoghaire, was a great place to spend our first two nights in Ireland. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful,... More
