Simply the most disgusting hotel I've ever seen. I don't even know where to start. Checkin was awful -- the staff member was in a horrid mood and as there are only two rooms on each flight of stairs the hike up to the top is quite difficult. The room was very dirty. We were "lucky" to have a shower... More

As I was going to be in Dublin for a few days, I was looking for somewhere central, and good value for money. Some of the prices that were been asked were ridiculous, so when I seen this B&B offered for 40 Euro a night, I took it. It needs lots of improvements, but I wont complain, as you get... More

As 3 students in Ireland for a long weekend this guesthouse was perfect and good value for money! Check-in from 3pm was quick and easy and we weren't obliged to pay as soon as we arrived. We had a triple room on the second floor with a double bed and a single bed. We found the room slightly small, but... More

We got a room with a bathroom in it. It was very small and the bed wasn't much more than springs, but after a long days walk through Dublin I didn't sleep too badly. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was all very friendly, I got what I paid for and more. Id say it was overall a good place... More

stayed here overnight last week as missed a flight from dublin. This is probably the worst place i have ever stayed. Firstly the television did not work, the curtains were filthy dirty, the carpet not much better, the noise of people coming in and banging doors kept me awake all night. No toilet in room either. for 60 euro for... More

Located quite central, serving decent breakfast, this guest house seems to be a good choice. The only (but serious) problem I had is that the walls are very thin, and I was lucky enough to get one of rooms 107, 108, 109 which are all located next to the entrance. You can hear everybody coming in, going out, looking for... More

The room contains a bed. No side tables, nothing else. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet with a massive, commercial style toilet roll. Nothing else, not a dish for soap or any toiletries, not a hook or rail for a towel, nothing else. The floor was filthy, the duvet was marked and as there was no bath mat,... More

I don't really know where to start in reviewing Avondale. It was the worst place I've ever stayed. To start, there was no place to put anything, except on the floor. The only chair in the room was so filthy, I was reluctant to even put my suitcase on it. If the chair looks that dirty, what must the carpeting... More

Good location, nice staff. I spent three nights in the room 107 in a ground floor across the reception desk. So I knew when other guests came back at any time possible:-) If you plan to stay in Dublin for a short time I would recommend this hotel, but it would be uncomfortable to stany there for more than three...
