I usually stay in Drumcondra when in Dublin. I vacation to Ireland every year. This was the first time I stayed in the Donnybrook area. It was close to downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood. Access to the major tourism sites was extremely quick and easy. The owner was very accommodating and pleasant. For location and easy access you will... more

We booked in advance. When going to our room we were shown a small questionable looking batroom on a landing and told this was ours and our room was on the next floor up. This was the first we heard of the fact that we did not have en suite in our room. When we complained and said we were... more

First off, the neighborhood: lovely, and in my opinion the perfect base for any traveler to Dublin. Taxis and buses are more than abundant, and if the weather is mild, everyone will tell you to walk anyway! Terri was not only a fantastic host, but also a treasure of a human being. The guesthouse was in fantastic condition, very clean... more

4 of us (2 adult men and 2 adult women) stayed at Donnybrook hall in early April for 3 nights, having booked the family room. The room was very well priced (cheaper than a hostel!) and the breakfast provided each morning was fabulous. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was well-appointed. We arrived early but were made to feel... more

My husband and I stayed at half term with our two children (17 & 13) and were made to feel most welcome. Our luggage was stored as we arrived early and directions were clearly given of how to get into the city centre. The breakfasts were a feast, with many varied choices. As we had a very early flight home... more

I stayed there 9 nights while attending a conference at University College Dublin, An easy walk both to city center and the college. Terry, the owner is a great guy and the breakfast is a great way to start the day. A one minute walk to the #10 bus and a quick walk to the Aircoach. Online access with a... more

Donnybrook Hall is a cozy little bed & breakfast style hotel. It is not within walking distance of city center but there are plenty of buses that will get you there quickly. The rooms are comfortable and hi speed internet is available for use in the lobby. The staff are friendly and helpful...they even let us leave our luggage after... more

I have to start with the breakfasts as they are amazing! You can have a really satisfying meal, so that you'll be able to do loads of walking and sughtseeing without getting hungry for hours! Cafetiere coffee, juice, fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, porridge, eggs any way or omelettes, pancakes, full Irish breakfast, toast and soda bread and no doubt... more

I stayed here in February 2009 when I was at the Dublin Boat Show at the RDS (10 minutes walk away through a lovely residential area). While the location in fairness isn't the most central for those of you interested in city centre shopping, a number 10 City bus will bring you from O'Connell Street to the corner of Belmont... more

I can totally recommend Donnybrook Hall - staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming, breakfasts delicious, rooms warm, comfortable and clean, and the location convenient for travel to the city centre and UCD (both 10-15 mins). Donnybrook is a quiet area served by frequent buses, and the guesthouse is less than five minutes walk from the Aircoach stop by the rugby... more
