I stayed in the Donnybrook Hall for three weeks, as an introductory stay to my longer business period in Ireland. The manager, Terry, and his staff are the most welcoming guys, always ready to help and showing directions for whatever problem. Breakfast is really good in quality, quantity and variety, and the overall atmosphere is very good. The city center... more

I arrived late from a long trip and staff greeted me warmly and were very considerate. The host and staff maintained their high standard of service throughout my stay. My room was bright, clean and fresh. The breakfast was generous and had variety. It was prepared to a high standard. The hotel is very conveniently located to Donnybrook shopping where... more

Donnybrook Hall is a lovely little guesthouse in Dublin 4. It is about a 20 minutes walk into the centre but it is conveniently located on the major bus routes including a number of buses to the airport. Terry at Donnybrook was really welcoming and he could not do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. The only... more

This B&B was lovely. Terry was very friendly and helpful. Close to the city, easy to get around. It felt like a hom away from home. Would definitely stay there again. more

Nice place. The staff was friendly and eager to answer questions. Close to a bus stop that will take you to the city center, which is about two miles away (we walked home each night). Our room was clean and comfortable. Free wireless. Good selection for breakfast. more

This guest house is perhaps the most welcoming i have ever stayed in. The staff are on hand to offer you any advice you might need, from transport, to things to see, places to eat. Irish charm fills this place as Terri is keen to make the effort to speak to each party individually at breakfast to find out how... more

This is a walking neighborhood, best enjoyed without a car, close to a good variety of pubs, restaurants, pharmacies, and markets. Dublin City Centre is a very doable and pleasant walk of perhaps 25 minutes, and if it's raining or you're in a rush, bus service is convenient. For the price, Donnybrook Hall is just about unbeatable--quality breakfast and clean... more

The hotel is a block from the Dublin City bus lines. Short walking distance to excellent pubs and restaurants as well as food stores, banks, and pharmacies. The staff is very helpful with directions, taxis, rental cars, activity recommendations, etc. The staff is friendly and up beat. The full Irish breakfast is excellent. more

Jul 22, 2009 | Trip type: Family

Not very impressed with this place at all. Clean and big family room but lots of negatives going on there-- living room was locked up at night so there was no place to sit and relax, breakfasts were inadequate (no self-service at all unlike any other place we stayed in Ireland, no menus, long wait for service, etc), lousy lighting,... more
