Recently stayed at Kingfisher hostal (I cannot consider it as an hotel) attracted by the scoring and good comments from TripAdvisor. This was my first error. It is a set of small (really small) rooms in a building on top of the Kingfisher Restaurant with narrow, dark and stepped and dangerous stairs. The dark age of metallic keys with huge... More

Located about 10-15 mins walk to Temple Bar. Very reasonably priced. Friendly staff, 24 hour manned front desk. Quiet, clean rooms (with the earplugs provided in case there is noise). Cafe next door and a chippy the other side - no adverse effects from being near either. Only downside was the hot water ran out one morning, other than that... More

The kingfisher is a 15 - 25 min walk of pretty much everything in the city that might peak your interest. Its a good central location of the city. The rooms were very clean and updated, bathrooms were great! Its a good value in the city center compared to most other place that will run 20 - 50 euros more... More

Stayed in room 12 on the top floor which was at the back of the hotel and you couldn't hear any road noise at all. You could hear some industrial sized motors running all night but with the windows closed it wasn't really a problem. The room was very clean and I loved the teapot which was a nice touch... More

We stayed at the Kingfisher for four nights in the first week of December 2015 and loved our stay. The location was perfect for us, as we could walk to O'Connell Street and across the river to Temple Bar easily. The room had everything we needed, and was spotlessly clean. I would definitely recommend the bed and breakfast option, as... More

Had an excellent stay. Was very clean and tidy, fantastic location right in the centre of Dublin. Beds very comfy. Breakfast was excellent (soda bread gets a particular recommendation!) Fish and chips in the restaurant very good as well. Would be my first choice for staying in Dublin again.

This was my second stay at the Kingfisher. It is a very central location and excellent quality for the price. The free breakfast is also great. I will stay here next time I am in Dublin. Staff were friendly and noise was minimal.

+ Excellent location: close to the center and just 5 minutes away from O' Connell street, where Airport shuttle, sightseeing busses and other busses stop + Thee-persons room with 3 single beds was spacious enough for 3 people + Good working (free) WiFi in the room + Hairdryer and adaptor were provided at the reception free of charge + Very... Perfect location. Next to o'connel street with all the busses. Comfortable room. The bathroom is quite big. Very friendly and helpful staff. At the reception (which is 24 hours open) they gave us an adaptor and a hairdryer for free. Negative: no elevator so not easy to go to the third floor with all your luggage; the shower is "fixed".... Good location with lots of transportation nearby (including Aircoach from the airport to Dublin city centre) and within walking distance from the city's main attractions. There were also multiple amenities around the hotel, from pubs and restaurants to supermarkets. The room was very clean and comfortable, with complementary tea and coffee facilities and also toiletries. The staff were very pleasant... More
